Islam was ‘never part of Europe’: Hungary’s Orban

This is an absurd thing to have written down, even talking hypothetically.

As for the rest of your jibes against France @AUz, it was most classless and unwarranted and I can understand why @Gabriel92 found it unacceptable. France has a remarkable martial tradition and they would give a bloody nose to any aggressor, the "jokes" about surrendering in WW2 are tired and ignorant. This entirely ignores the massive contribution of the French resistance to the success of the D-day and subsequent anti-Nazi operations that came at the cost of untold French lives.

You clearly aren't aware of historical fact or are indifferent to it.

If you're going to mock the French then why not mock the British too? They suffered a humiliating defeat in the early stages of WW2 and the British Expeditionary Force fled from Dunkirk in fishing and pleasure craft leaving behind almost all of the British Army's weaponry. It is all a matter of perception and for some reason this French surrendering joke has persisted which is entirely unfair in my opinion. The US has effectively surrendered numerous times but have simply packaged this as a "withdrawal/draw-down" (see Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan) and what of Pakistan? Do we need to open that wound?

France's Martial tradition ended with Napolean 2 centuries ago.

It's military record over the last 2 centuries has been abysmal.

I never said Muslims hold power in Europe. Muslims hold power globally, as in...throughout the globe in multiple continents. In terms of hard power and influence, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have more of it than any European nation (except a few).

European nations are only economic powers (that too, is only Germany if you really look at it.). What 'influence' France/UK hold to shape things beyond their borders? (without the help/intervention of U.S). Merely any.

:rofl::rofl:

Poland, Netherlands, Italy, Spain aren't punny states?:rofl::rofl:

What do they have? What role in international arena? What influence they hold anywhere? Who goes to them if there's some regional issues? LOL!!

Should have wrote Romania while you were at it.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a bigger international power than all European nations except may be Germany.

Hell, Saudis own hundreds of billions worth of assets inside European mainland through their sovereign wealth funds. While economies of Spain/Italy have over 100% debt-to-GDP ratio...lmao!!!

Influence of Saudi Arabia in the most critical global market (energy) makes them a more relevant player in International Arena than Spain/Italy/Poland/France....combined.

A threat to Europe? Never said it. Europe is a continent. Turkey is a country.

However, Turkey's presence will make the occurrence of a holocaust type genocide to Muslims in Eastern Europe very unlikely.

Turkey can single-handedly crush 95% of the European states (if there's no outside interference)---including Greece, Poland, and mighty Hungary if it comes to that. But why would they? Turks are happy and growing. It is Europe that is old, dying, energyless, and having already lost much of its indigenous culture to foreign forces.

I discussed that in previous post. Islam won't 'over-run' Europe. It will be the biggest minority in Europe at best.

You need to calm down.

Rise of right-wing will destroy Europe more than anything...
So far you are the wisest and boldest guy ive met on PDF - you are not afraid to be "ridiculed" by train-thought people who see the world as static. People are completely oblivious to the variables that really matter, completely ignore them and think the "West" has a monopoly on power. Let us take my country (Turkey) as an example. From 2002 to 2010 Turkey's GDP has quadrupled from 200 billion USD till 800, we are producing almost every single industrial technological ware. Right now developing engines for our Altay tanks with 1500 HP and 2000 HP, fully indigenious.

Turkish communities in Europe are the absolute best in organising. I can give you an example in Denmark, vote turnout for the Turkish election is extremely high and people mostly vote for AKP based on their Economic record in Turkey, and this is echoed in our organisations - 70% voted for AKP. We are fully integrated here, proffesionalized and educated trilingual people. But we don't have an inferiority complex compared to the Danish or Swedish, we are perfectly aware of our brilliant past and confident we will attain greatness in few decades - the Turkish youth born and educated in Scandinavia are aware and organised.

What is the Median age in EU compare that with Turkey. How many hours does the average EU citizen work, compare that with Turkey. Who got the most fast train lines in the world, Turkey is third or fourth. I don't have to mention the mega projects like Selim Bridge, the world's largest airport in Istanbul etc etc.

On the other hand, we are perfectly content that they keep ignoring our growth and huge potential.

This discussion is funny, even the Ottoman empire ruled up till Wien for centuries. Erdogan shouts at their master Shimon Perez in open screen they don't have the guts to say shit, instead they apologize, FDI keeps pouring in, in huge amounts. Do you know what this is called? Power and influence. You just have to know how to use it, and that takes courage and some brain

EU should not force member countries to take refugees. Its upto individual countries to decide. I think Orban's policy is racially motivated but he is the democratically elected leader and he knows whats good for his country, what his people want.
May be french and germans should accept more refugees. They are big countries with more resource.

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban defended his hardline stance against refugees, the vast majority of whom are Muslim, saying in an interview published Friday that Islam “has never been part of Europe”.

Speaking to Germany’s Focus news weekly about the record migrant influx, he said “the language of the European elite is ideological and dogmatic”.

“Islam has never been part of Europe, it came to us,” Orban told Focus in an interview to be published in full Saturday.

He conceded that Germany’s Turkish migrants, who arrived in their tens of thousands from the 1960s for work, now “belong to German history and therefore Europe’s too”.

“But spiritually, Islam was never part of Europe. It’s the rulebook of another world,” said Orban.

He also hit out at France and Germany for refusing to countenance “any doubts” over a multicultural society.

“We in Hungary decide what we want or don’t want. We don’t want that,” he said.
Can't say much about History. But hope that it EU will be free from Extremism of all kind.

Dude do not equate Arabs with Muslims.

BD is a professional army despite it's meagre resources.

Only European armies worth mentioning are German, French, and British--especially German and British.

Turks would evaporate "Spanish army" militarily, if it comes down to it.

Your jib at Muslims was unnecessary though. Its like an irrelevant local agricultural producer taking a jib at technology products lol..I mean, why even try?

Btw, how come you have Egyptian and UK flag? Are you an Egyptian living in UK?

Isn't Spain part of Europe? Is yes. Then Muslims ruled Spain for a long time. :)

. .
And Spanish Europeans liked it so much that they eventually pushed them into the sea.

We aren't talking about wether they liked or not. Also, they ruled for a long time and nothing lasts forever. (Nothing worldly). :)

Undoubtedly, Islam was and still remains a part of Europe geographically, but not in the cultural or civilizational sense.
While Western Europeans abandon their Christian roots, better they become Muslims than godless, sexless and spineless creatures.

And the Christians like each other so much that they fought two world wars. Shall i talk about how Jews were pushed out of Europe?

Bottom line is that for 1300 years Europeans desperately fought against barbaric islamic invasions. There's not one country in Europe that hasn't past heroes in this struggle and you can't erase this history.
