There cannot be any democracy unless there are inalienable basic human rights present for all citizens. Such human rights should be freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom to vote and so on. Therefore all the best democracies are liberal democracies:

An Islamic democracy cannot be a liberal one as it would run counter to the above said principles such as freedom of speech.

There is no absolute freedom exist in any society .. they all have their own limitations based on their own interpretation of right or wrong or what should be allowed or what should not be allowed

Sure. Freedom to rape a child through marriage is not allowed here in the West, unlike many Muslim majority countries such as Iran, Yemen, Saudi Arabia.

So who is going to do this said reformation?

because they are not united among themselves and are busy in killing each others and are financially weaker as well and depend on secular forces. You have to be powerful and independent in order to establish your own system of government otherwise you will be dictate by others

Child marriage is allowed in Iran by Shariah law. Now, you can even marry your adopted daughters. If this is true Islam, then no sane human being will follow it.

Never really understood why modern day clerics are so obsessed with Islamic punishments. Why do they never talk about Islamic mercy and compassion using the same holy scripture? @TankMan @syedali73 @Syed.Ali.Haider

We all know that 'complete control' is something humans will never master no matter how good we become technologically. In fact, we humans love losing control on our economy, politics, society time and again by actively intervening in the stock markets, rigging the elections, spreading rumors and propaganda deliberately. Of course, all such measures of taking control lead to even less control and more chaos.
