Having traveled a few (over a dozen actually) countries, being Pakistani, getting my passport stared at repeatedly by Immigration, being profiled repeatedly, pulled out for questioning, etc. etc. I think I am a slightly better authority than someone who has a Commie murderer thug as his profile pic.

Yaar Pakistanis seek asylum in countries like Srilanka. Heck I can bet you that if tomorrow Cameroon or Gambia opens their door to asylum seekers from Pakistan the Pakistanis will send in record applications. If you live in an urban city like Lahore or Islamabad than the HDI is above 0.90 same as that of Europe. I was born and raised in Dubai , lived in Brighton and currently located in Lahore .I must say i really enjoy life here , not having skyscrapers doesnt bother me at all . Infact ,i adore the local culture and the cuisine is delicious.

I agree - our leadership has failed us, and I can't say the primary responsibility for that is on the Pakistani public (for electing them) because in a sense Pakistanis really only started understanding and exercising their democratic responsibilities in 2008.

Military rule has retarded Pakistan's evolution as a democratic nation, there is no question about that. India went through many similar issues and has managed to work out the kinks to some degree over 60+ years. In contrast Pakistan has had to keep restarting the process, and this time around we've been at it for just 7 years. In addition we have to overcome the legacy of past military rule and the still present, albeit diminished, threat of a future military coup which will play into how our politicians and electorate think and function. A politician will only think short term if he/she knows they will be kicked out by the Military/undemocratically, and therefore focus on self-preservation and wealth accumulation rather than governance. The electorate will lose faith in the process because their choice and voice is never allowed to function.

Pakistan is a massive country with massive issues and they are not going to be resolved quickly. The only thing we can do is support the flawed, ugly and snail paced democratic process we have currently, and reform it over time. Any other option (military rule, revolution etc) means we lose all progress and repeat the cycle, and it will take longer and be even more torturous next time around.

What exactly is the leadership who fail you guys and would appreciate you can name it.

It is the leadership who steer you good guys into Islamofascist. No country will develop if the leadership keep poison the people to delve into Sharia 24x7 rather than spending these spend solving dy/dx.

No single tribe will be bless by Allah if they enjoy themselves in killing minorities shouting Allah hu Akbar, thinking that spilling someone else blood, Allah would be happy.

My grand-dad migrated from Delhi (originally from Agra) and my grandmother was from Ajmer, Rajasthan.

Well if you don't absolutely hate india then you should probably pay a visit to these places. Agra still retains its old world charm and probably you can find the place where your grand dad migrated from. Absolutely amazing these places are. And no one will ask you if you are a pakistani based upon your appearance or name.
