Iran helps Venezuela in its time of need

No, the US did not make any such vow. Based on US statements they aren't going to stop the tankers.
Ok. They didn't put their hand on the bible and swear they they will attack the tankers..

But they did say they have Venezuela surrounded:

“We’ve got it [Venezuela] surrounded, it’s surrounded at a level that nobody even knows but they know. We are watching to see what happens,” he warned during a conference call with Hispanic leaders.

“We have surrounded him at a level that no one knows, but they know it.” He added, “Something is going to happen because we won’t be able to bear it,” without specifying what “something” he had in mind.

And they did say they wont allow us to cooperate with Venezuela

“The president has made clear the United States will not tolerate continued meddling by supporters of an illegitimate regime,” the official said. The administration considers Maduro a usurper, saying he stole the presidential election in 2018; the Justice Department indicted him in March on narcoterrorism charges. The United States is one of nearly 60 nations that recognize Guaidó, head of Venezuela’s National Assembly, as the country’s lawful leader.

And they have already put sanctions on our oil export, so per their view, we are breaking 2 laws.

1. Cooperating with an illegal regime (Venezuela) Which they have said they wont tolerate.
2. Exporting oil which they have stated several times, they wont allow us to do.

And they have said thousands of times that they will do whatever it takes to stop our oil exports and break our economy.

Now there are five tankers full of oil, and important equipment, heading towards their own backyard, to deliver it to a country they are trying to break.

They said they will do "whatever it takes" Now it takes military action. So they did vow they will use military force on the tankers.

Iran has some deterrence but would not compare US to British. Purpose of US sanctions is not to militarily enforce it like Israel does with Gaza. Gaza is small and insignificant so Israel can behave that way. US cannot behave that way with countries and with coronavirus outbreak it would be inappropriate at this time to have military tensions. Actually everyone is happy with this oil shipment, it would reduce tensions in ME and in Veneuzuala. I'm sure US and Iran have already had dialogue directly and through third parties.

I just made the interesting sections of your speech bold for the other members.

All this means is that it is being monitored by the US Navy, Trump just uses sensationalist language.

This does not mean they will resort to use of military force.

Via sanctions and they have succeeded for the most part in limiting your oil exports. As I have said though, they do not plan to use military force and it is not needed. Not that I support US withdrawal from nuclear agreement, that was a wrong move in my opinion.

I do not know what you are reading but I do not see any indication of them wanting to use military action and especially at sensitive time in the world and for American public. US granted waivers to nations buying Iranian oil by the way. US wants to pressure Iran but still will talk with them and cooperate with them in Iraq, Afghanistan and to an extent, Syria.

. .
If I were US and I wanted to do something, I would do sabotage inside Venezuela. This can also elicit a revenge in the Persian gulf but is the safest.

Two options:
1. Sabotage at the port where the tankers are transferring gasoline.
2. Sabotages completely outside Iranian realm when Venezuela is transferring the fuel inside their country

That is why the military leaders of the two countries were in touch.

Iran´s flag raised in Caracas, as Venezuelans thank Iran for sending five fuel tankers to their country despite US sanctions and threats of a blockade:

''Gracias Iran'' popular on Twitter with Venezuelans showing their appreciation.
This is how true friendships are born.

Venezuela could become energy hub in south America. They can build refineries & petrochemical industries and sell products to their neighbors like Iran. Iran have enough experience to give Venezuela in this issues. However that is dangerous move against USA refineries and their markets in south America.

That is a good mid term solution for Venezuela. US will sanction their products but they can still sell their products.
In the short term they will need more gasoline though to keep the country running. Every supertanker is enough for only 4 days of Venezuela.

There Venezuela itself still produced some gasoline, therefore Iranian fuel needed to fill the gap between Venezuelian production and needs while will not go into operation the additional Venezuelan refining capacities, that are now being repaired with the help of Iranian specialists. There, earlier, from Iran already were delivered the necessary catalysts, equipment etc.

I was thinking 1.5 million gasoline barrels is just 238 million litters of it which is nothing ..I don't know what is their daily consumption but 238 is almost for 3 days of Iran's consumption.
