Iran execution record -Shamefull

How comes only 5 executions in Somalia?

I thought its heavily effected by the extremism?

God help Russia.

Law was only my minor but i have a studied laws from different countries albeit not always in depth, the best judicial system is in the United States. For instance, you are innocent until proven guilty, most countries even many European countries work the other way around, also if, for instance, someone does not fully understand their rights their case can be thrown out because they were not in the best position to make the best choice, further lawyers are provided and everything from coercion to interrogation without Miranda rights will result in cases getting thrown out, as they should. The American judicial system gives the defendant the best and fairest chance at prevailing in any litigation.

Yet even in the US innocent people have been wrongly convicted or executed, the point is clear. Any reasonable person would support a adversarial system based on fairness or Due Process. Why would any reasonably informed person support the death penalty when not only the crimes in question are petty but the system itself would not guarantee fairness and equity.

Iran does have a ridiculous amount of executions for the people they have.

I agree that execution per head(?) is high there, but I am doubtful that most Iranians approve of that. But 98 percent of chinease( going by your data) support execution. I am disappointed with Chinese people if it is true.

100% of Chinese also don't really care what your opinion of them is.

You are idealizing.

Just how many citizens are aware that nearly 95 percent of all criminal cases never reach a jury, but instead are settled through plea bargains?

This documentary showcases of cases of people being intimidated by prosecutors and police into taking a plea bargain for crimes they did not commit because they were told that they are going to found guilty regardless.

A debate on death penalty to rapists on NDTV.
Is capital punishment a deterrent for rapists?

Castration is more of a deterrent.

If thats all you can pull up then your minor in law is doubtful.

We studied far more in just my AP government class.

P.S if you were a real law minor you would find flaws with the judicial system not simply worshipping it like some kind of deity.

]I like the fact that he quoted "facts and details" a Japanese ultra right website[/B]. That's like me quoting a Islamic Chechen website for details on Russia. The kid is weaksauce.

"errrr i know this professor...."

Why don't you check the sources? How Japanese is New York Times, Washington Post, Compton’s Encyclopedia, National Geographic ect, ect, ect? I'm also not a kid, and anyone reading would see that you, my friend, are 'weak sauce' did you even watch the entire video you posted? I doubt it...

You are also failing to understand what my point is, it about the fairness of judicial systems and executions, as stated earlier even the best judicial systems have wrongfully convicted and executed people, the point here is that the Chinese system is not the fairest and the number of executions is extreme not to mention that many of the crimes that are punishable by death are petty.

I really doubt that you would welcome such a system in Canada surly by now you would probably be executed if that was the case.

Now all semblance of an argument from you has broken down...

Yes I did watch it which is why I posted it when you asked for a source on the 98% support for the death penalty in China.

No I understand you say that all judiciary systems are fallible, with a death penalty on the books, there is a possibility that innocent people executed. Your ideas aren't that complex and I left out the opinionated part about the Chinese system executing for "petty" reason.

I really doubt that you would welcome such a system in Canada surly by now you would probably be executed if that was the case.

Just facepalm really...

Next time ready my entire post carefully, here is a flaw that I mentioned:

"Yet even in the US innocent people have been wrongly convicted or executed"

I fail to see any so called 'worshiping', I merely stated that it was my opinion that the US system is the fairest, and now to further elaborate on to why people, even in the US, sometimes get wrongly convicted, often times circumstantial evidence or unreliable informant have hidden agendas and can influence a cases, in fact some very high profile cases were based on circumstantial evidence.
