Could be in some cases but these images are from Anatolian Eagle and the named pilots participated in that exercise. The jet has his name marked on it, but that pilot could be anyone else.
BTW, can someone clarify why only competing in A2G weapons, why not Air to Sea weapons as well. JF-17 and Mirages both can carry anti-ship armament. Just a thought and curiosity!
Can you share any video of this competition?Sorry sir, i have seen this image posted all over the social media.

does this competition only involves strafing or it also includes other weapons and bombs as well?
secondly in modern warfare and against a well equipped army such as indian army will they allow our jets to use guns against them? if no then whats the use of honing a skill which has very little use in modern combat? even against TTP only guided and unguided bombs were used.this ancient art of close air support is very much useless today.

LGBs are more suitable for moving targets.Buildings I understand but using LGBs on a runway? I dont think that's a good idea.Just make a low alt approach with Duds, armed delay set about 4 sec and 500 ft spacing with 6 bombs would be enough maybe? But again I am no expert.Cannon is a very effective weapon in close air support and deep interdiction missions. In some of the anti-terror ops our F-16s had to fly as low as 200 feet to strafe the enemy position.
Strafing helps to reduce collateral damage and is primarily effective against dispersed targets and fast-moving vehicles. Air Forces around the world do not have the luxury to target each enemy foot soldier with an LGB or even free fall bombs.
As for organised enemy such as Indian armed forces,. a targetted cannon fire on the enemy flight lines, jets parked in front of hangers is an ideal feat. In combat missions over hostile areas, the priority is to maximize the damage. Hence weapons like LGB's are often reserved for fuel dumps, runways, radar stations, ammo dumps. Destruction of these assets paralyses even the airworthy jets. What good is a Rafale if cannot take off.
Here you go.
