INS Vikrant, being built by Cochin Shipyard, to be ready by 2018:Pics

Well IN wants to explore its Blue Water capabilities. 5 carriers allow it to do so. CBG has 3-7 ships or more excluding the carrier. Hence, whenever a ACC is build, an equal emphasis is also given to the ships in the CBG. Without them ACC is a sitting duck. How long can CIWS and aircrafts defend it.
I hope ACC also needs submarines... How many submarines needed for CBG?

. . . . . . .

Unfortunately, no. The placement of the air intake and the absence of the nearly "vestigial" tail sting eliminates the 29K. Someone bungled up, and went with the F-15 on the deck.

Ya it is F 15. Good catch. But I don't think many people can spot the difference when the image is not enlarged.

With F-15s on the deck.:p:
Indeed- how shameful.

+ to be fair to the NDB they are all about designing ships so it's not unreasonable to expect a F-15 and MiG-29K look very similar to whomever crated this CAD.

You also have to consider they may not have a ready made option for Mig 29K to appear in the rendering. F 15 OTOH will be easily available as a template.

Sometimes we miss the obvious reasons.

But the aircraft looks like it has a spine. So it is much closer to MiG 29K rather than a F-15
