First of all The morons who wrote the article and others who comment here don't even know what this procedure is called medically speaking.They use the term Limb-Lengthening technique.It's called Iliazarov Method.Invented by a Soviet Union Orthopedic doctor. It was not known in west nor was it taught anywhere except in soviet Union. The chances of finding a surgeon proficient in this method are like looking for a needle in a haystack.This method is only taught in russia nowhere else in the world.As it retained the knowledge of the procedure.Even US doctors go to learn it there.

The frequency of such operations in India could be counted on fingers.But the OP makes it look like all Indians are into this thing.Being from Medical side i know this operation is as rare as you spotting a real UFO in your life.
Another thing that hyderabadi idiot who underwent this operation & was crying in this article,that he felt cheated?
Didn't he sign the approval paper & risk factors papers before he underwent the operation?Every patient is counselled weeks before on the pros & cons of surgery they are about to undergo.He went in willingly .Why blame the doctors then for pain.Did he expect a magic growth overnight without no pain.They just broke his leg bones & stabilised them with external fixators thats living the life & pain of a compound fracture patient for the next 6 months to 1 year.Did he think there would little pain?

No one is wrong, people should have the freedom to decide for themselves.

If enlarging your breasts is ethical, if enlarging your butt is ethical, if enlarging your eyes is ethical, if straightening your nose is ethical, then whats wrong with enlarging your limbs. If its medically safe and possible, then why should the society get to decide for an individual whether its ethical or not?

If a person is insecure about something and has the means, s/he should have the freedom to do something about it.

Anything can be enlarged except your brain..Well techincally speaking we can do that too.

You're still not getting it, are you? The society doesn't dictate someone to enlarge breasts, butt or any other limbs of the body. The individual does it because he/she feels that it is necessary for whatever reason. Usually cosmetic.

However, in this instance the subjects are clearly stating their motivation which is abhorrent. They are forced by their society to increase their height or look more white because otherwise no one would marry them or they wouldn't get a job. Don't you find that sick? They are made to feel insecure. You need to differentiate between the two.

Its as sick as a flat chested woman finding no boyfriends or males attracted to her.So they deserve the way they want to look like be it enhancing themselves cosmetically or surgically.
Your argument falls on the logic of women shouldn't do make up or men shouldnt wear good clothes as its the society that is making them do such things.
In the end its the persons choice what they want to do with their body.You and me cannot complain about it.
Did you ever see a White trying to tan themselves & look brown complain so much? as you are complaining now.They dont.While you do because you somehow think trying yo become light skinned is somehow trying to become white
Are the whites trying to become black by suntan? Useless outrage over trivial things.
