Indian underage brides 'at 44%'

Underage marriages do take place in india but I do think this 44% is incredably off mark.

There are plenty of countries where marriagable age is as low as 12 Years for Girls and 17 Years for boys. Eg. Saudi Arabia , Tanzania and many more.

Indian permissable age is 21 Years for Men and 18 Years for Women.

uncle it was talking about child marriages in India and not pregnant girls in USA

ok bye i am going Hospital with someone

man ur really gonna make me spell it for you

Ok here's the deal, the purpose of this thread was to use underage pregnancy as an excuse to take a shot at India comprende ? Now by proving that the most advanced country in this world has an underage pregnancy ratio of almost 50% you cannot single out India as was the purpose of this thread..samajh aye budhay :P  joking yar

Dude US has a 52.1% underage pregnancy rate..its just that in India atleast it is the guys responsibilty to take care of the girl whereas in US tohfa seedha ghar ata hai nana abu ke pas

I dont mean to commend this practise but people make it to be too big of an issue than it is supposed to be.

Underage marriage and underage pregnancies are 2 different things. Marriage in india while the girl is underage is most likely to be a forced marriage, but the underage pregnacy in the US is by choice.

Any way what's your point of posting a report from

Which over a year old article, but to troll

44% is incorrect...that figure means almost half of the nation's female are married forefully :woot:...be practical guys!! :pop:

Dear Creder, To be honest with you it looks a bit pointless and illogical to me to bring america in this discussion. Whether the underage pregnant americans regret their act in the future or not is something else, but we all know that nobody forced them to have sex with the boy in the college and get pregnant, they wanted pleasure, but they didnt think of its consequencies - totally irrelevant.

The report might not say it was forced marriage, but how can you claim that a child is happy to agree to one of the biggest things in her life willingly? come on bro, we all know how our socieites are, no need to pretend not knowing it.

Right mate. Also, 44% is a bit on the higher side. If this is the case, I'd also have to look for an underage bride, which is also a crime as per Indian Laws.

My take on this issue is 0.000004%.

Thank You.

Behuda, Besharam. You play ringa ringa roses with a girl. I am going to tell your mother.
