Most non-Muslim child brides in India are not sent off to their in-laws before they turn 18. they might be married in childhood but stay with their parents. this was said in a CNN TV channel debate on OPIUM BRIDES documentary on Pakistan/Afghanistan where young girls of poor parents are married off to old men fit enough to be their grandfathers and these girls become pregnant before they turn 10. We are not responsible for the actions of 200 million Muslims in India. if India brings down the number of Muslims to 10-20 million, the crime rate in India will drop to virtual zero as Muslims pollute non-Muslim minds with their talk and playing Arabic songs from mosques.

Bihar, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, parts of MP have among the lowest rates . This also has its roots in the centuries old tradition of " Gauna" . Here children are married young but do not live together till puberty , the bride goes to her husband much later. This ' second marriage' ceremony is called Gauna

What is good is that since such issues get highlighted at national level answers are found. NGOs are doing a good job in this as well.
