Even I am not in favour of changing the law, different states have different laws on this issue, and it will stay. And you are wrong when you say that "India has its own culture and traditions", in fact India has many cultures and traditions, there are places that are vegetarian, then there are non-veg population, then there are states with high beef consumption, and even there are states where people eat dog meat, India is for everyone of them, and everybody stays with their own culture & traditions without interfering with each others lives. India doesn't belong to you only, nor to Hindutwavadis only, nobody is in a position decide who will stay and who will go. And mark my words, India will remain like that only.

Yes and majority of the cultures are being swiftly overtaken by rapid expansion of the Muslim population which is effectively trying to destroy the local culture where ever they grow beyond a certain limit . Same goes with Christianity, were local traditions and culture are often ridiculed by folks like yourself so that they can be replaced with more of the western or Islamic culture...

If the local traditions does not want or like the consumption of beef and consider them offensive then that should be enforced.

I don't think that is wrong. Dharmic identity as a whole of all four faiths is the identity of the country. Those who deny it are simply either ignorant or enemies of the country. To add fuel to the fire, VP Singh started disgusting reservations further dividing the country.

Whats the size of Mizoram and WB ? WB is a huge *** state with tens of millions of population while Mizoram is a dozens of times smaller.

Take a look here - educated people, people who have access to internet and are aware of daily happenings around them - still they believe in the mindless propaganda against RSS and hark about their Aurobindo or Vivekanada in 2014 who have been dead for more than 100 years and continuing to deny reality and thinking all is well there. The first step in treating a disease is in acknowledging that it is actually there. Here not even the first step has been crossed and finally when it is crossed, I think it will be too late.

No, I dont see any reason for optimism regards WB.

LOL...its not all that bad.

WB in its own way preserves a unique streak of Dharmic traditions too. It still celebrates Durga puja with much gusto......... even BD does.

But when the rest of India begin to rediscover Hinduism, Bengal will also be a late entrant. If India does what Bengal does, Bengal also does what the rest of India does. Its a two way street.

Which is why BJP can still make it in Kerala too.

If they really have any pride in Vivekananda ji and Aurobindo ji's teachings, they would have remained proud Hindus and others, Buddhists.

Gujarat is a Arid and Semi Arid region with 1/3rd the population density of kerala. Kerala OTOH has 150 Rivers and receives 3100 mm of rain every year which is also 4 times the rain Gujarat receives.
