Indian believers swallow live fish as asthma cure

Hey your East Asians eat live octopus with sucking tentacles, its just a fish of half the size of your finger who's mouth is filled with herbs.

Thats a dangerous thing. I heard many people died from eating octopus in the wrong way.

I have eaten raw Tuna before in a Japanese restaurant, raw fish doesn't taste that bad. Plus the fish is not even bigger than the index finger.

yes i agree when we got sick then we ready to pay anything for rid of it .

Its not about paying money (Most of this people coming to this center may have already tried all known asthma treatments).
Its all about enduring long journeys , standing in line for hours and then swallowing a small live fish.

Actually ..this is free of cost..

Asserting that the family had been doing the service free of cost without aspiring for fame, Mr. Harinath Goud said he and his brothers had been following the advice of their forefathers, who had administered the `medicine' without any personal gain since 1845. All these years, there were no casualties with the number of people only going up.

Also, some controversies rose on the content of the medicine in the fish..
On 6 June 2004, the Bathini Goud family handed over a sample for scientific analysis in 2004 and 2005. No harmful ingredients have been identified so far.
