We definitely need to learn what went wrong on our side that the ground units didn't respond to those violations -- SAMs, etc.

Modi wanted to score quick points before the election. They were also preparing for further escalation in Kashmir. India wasn't expecting any response from Pakistan. These Indians live in a different dimension. The Americans have been feeding them too much BS. The Indians believe that if Uncle Sam can violate Pakistan they can do that too. Little did the Indians realise that Pakistan would shame India.
