It's not just India that gives refuge to people fleeing religious oppression, to save themselves from barbarians who cannot stand to hear any disagreement or dissent. Which countries provided asylum to Salman Rushdie? Which countries have provided asylum to any dissenter over the past few decades? Yes, the societies that can tolerate dissent. If India belongs to that club, I'm glad.
