NEW DELHI: India is willing to discuss everything with Pakistan in a "step-by-step" approach to resolve differences with the neighbouring country, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna said Thursday. "We have nothing to be afraid of let the nation understand India is willing to discuss everything," he said in the Rajya Sabha during Question Hour. He said that India favours a graduated and step-by-step approach in resolving differences with Pakistan, but cross-border hostilities will have to cease.

What part of the above statement seems to suggest that India has come down from its stand? Step by step means that Terrorism would be the first step to resolving any differences with Pakistan. How hard is that to understand?

ok, before u went on your pathetic rant, you should have taken some time to actually analyse the situation.

Firstly, India has never said it wont discuss everything with Pakistan. And in part in blue, that is exactly what SM Krishna says. What we have maintained is that we will discuss everything, givent hat the issue of terrorism is dealt with first.

And in the part in red, SM Krishna has said that we will take a 'step-by-step' approach. So terrorism will be the first step to be discussed.

so the issue is simple. lets discuss the issue of terrorism, solve it, and then we discuss everything else. This is what we said before, this is what we say now.
