And how exactly did our 'irresponsibility' in Gujrat effect our neighbors, or for that matter the world at large?

yeah, thats why you didn't accept dead bodies of your soldiers.

.
well bec responsibility starts from within
Depends on how you are defining responsibility. If it is responsibility of State of India as Global entity, which is what Obama means, Gujrat matters just as much as a zit on a donkey's dick does.

Gujrat, however deplorable it may be, was not perpetrated by the State of India. An example of State sponsored genocide would be East Pakistan of 1971, just in case you are wondering how a state sponsored genocide looks like.

Try again.

first off all every one know truth about 1971 ... millions of BD people killed and their woman's raped by Pakistan army ...

thts the reason BD support India for its independence from Pakistan

.
yes India is , but it cannot rise to a level of global power in true sense unless it resolves all its outstanding disputes with Pakistan :agree:

Having a peaceful vicinity will contribute more towards the regional economic development and prosperity.

Bhai this will not go anywhere. All countries (particularly developing countries) have examples of failures in their past, but failures do not necessarily mean we did not / are not trying to overcome those failures.

Take the example of the Sikh riots - justice has not been done, but govt of India has apologized for its failure, and compare that with Gujarat or Kandhamal violence (not genocides pls!) and the situation has improved a lot as so many convictions have already happened in bringing guilty to justice. Not perfect - but improvement - yes.

And to it issues like poverty and development - we've made progress, add to it laws like right to information law and things have definitely improved. Elections across india are becoming more and more peaceful - including kashmir (and more credible too) - improvement - yes.

So are we a global power - NO, NOT YET, but are we heading towards becoming a responsible power - YES, is it our genuine desire - YES!

Fail.

1971 happened because 'you' refused to share political space with 'your' people which ultimately effected us, you know, in form of deluge of refugees.

Kargil was not a response to Siachen, if your blue eyed general is to be believed and in fact, according to that great commando Siachen was a race which Pakistan had lost due to faulty planning.

Golden temple, just like Gujrat, didn't effect our neighbours or the world at large. In any case, Lal Masjid is very much similar to Golden Temple incident.

Thousands of unmarked graves also don't effect our neighbours, unless you are tacitly agreeing that those graves contain remains of your citizen.

So show us how all of those that you have mentioned, effect the world like the terrorist inc. run by Pakistan effects the world.:pop:

So u want to compare BD people with moist problem ?????
