India burning

So if they chose to write against what they thought was Islam, they become Progressive, is it ??
I think some of her views are valid but she does not understand the complex problems of the muslim world or even India, which is expected, she's a novelist not a historian or socio-economic expert.

Doesn't the BJP government believe in the Preamble to the Indian Constitution that says that India is a Secular and Socialist republic ??
No, they don't and they say it was inserted by Indira Gandhi, so it's actually invalid. Maybe if NRC is successfully implemented, they will remove it as their next step.

She chose to write what she had experienced first-hand, and what she genuinely believed in. Others like Avijit weren't even critical of any particular religion, all they wanted was to pen down their thoughts. And in turn was culled by the types protesting CAA and NRC in India- uneducated and violent.
So why didn't the BJP government especially announce refuge for any persecuted person, why only for Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs,
You are beginning to sound like a broken record now. Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis, Cheistians and even Muslims are/were welcome to seek refuge in India. CAA only deals with a part of it by including the religiously persecuted refugees by shortening the naturalization period. Other avenues of obtaining citizenship remain open.

Do bear in mind that a majority of the persecuted refugees are already living in India for many decades now, for example the Chakma and Hajong tribals living in Tripura and Arunachal were driven out in the 60s and thereafter from East Pakistan/Bangladesh. Central governments till now were oblivious of their misery. Does it not make sense to award them with Indian citizenship after their long suffering.

. .
That's wrong on many levels
Then come forth and debate with the government at state and Central levels about how CAA would hurt the interests of Indian citizens. Our eminent minister in Assam challenged those opposing it to have a healthy debate on live television but none is yet to come forward. Instead of rioting and protesting and crying victimhood/propaganda you should try to sway public opinion with FACTS. That is the essence of democratic behaviour.

Population mean jack shite when majority of them dont even have a place to relieve themselves in dignity. Hope you catch the drift.

The post you had responded to specifically was about population. If you felt the population does not mean jack shit you should have said so in reply to that post.

shortening the naturalization period
That arouse even more suspicion, it's not about the persecuted minorities as those people who will benefit have already left the oppressive countries and are facing no persecution, they can be given some other type of residency for work etc purposes till NRC is done.

It's excellent watching all of this:tup:

Indians are finding it tough to really express their real feelings

So at the moment Indians are speaking through gritted teeth and it's fun deciphering them

Good stuff, Good stuff

Living in India for decades as stateless citizens may be a joke to you but not to them. If at all, you woke people must ask our previous governments on why they chose to sit on CAA after having acquiesced back in the day when BJP wasn't even in the scheme of things.

Tell me what's wrong with this answer. It's short, you can refute it in short time

I have refuted it many a times. NRC in Assam mainly relied on legacy data, that means even if you don't have any documents proving yourself to be an Indian citizen you still can be included if someone/anyone in your ancestry can prove themselves to be an Indian. There were approximately two dozens of legally acceptable documents in the accepted list. Anyone in India can forge identification documents like PAN and AADHAR, but legacy data is where they would be caught red handed. Anyway, that was only for Assam, pan India NRC is still undecided, so i don't know why are you unnecessary cribbing.

Indira Gandhi did in a way but then it was xenophobic Assamese who opposed it and Assam accord was signed, it was assumed that most of the illegals were Muslims, so communalist were also eager for NRC but Assam NRC shattered those beliefs and then enter CAA

You are misinformed, Assam back in the day sent truckloads of identified Bangladeshis in lakhs across the border only to be stopped at the instruction of the Gandhis who ordered them back to further their votebank politics. Bimala Prasad Chaliha was our CM back then, had that happened there wouldn't have been the need for any Assam Accord.

When they were voting, how they were stateless?

Rules of NRC were the same for everyone in Assam, everyone had to submit relevant documents be it a legislator or someone from the armed forces. And any discrepancy therein would come forth.

https://www.newindianexpress.com/na...-in-arunachal-have-voting-rights-2087506.html

Only 5,097 Chakmas, Hajongs in Arunachal have voting rights’

Just an example..

So, there are absolutely no false positives and no false negatives? Are you sure?

Of course, there are, you must go through my previous posts. Lots of Bengali Hindus found their names excluded as the Congress-appointed NRC coordinator refused to accept their refugee identification cards. And the Bangladeshi miyas misused the legacy data to include the names of many aliens. For example, one Abdul used his legacy data to include the names of 27 others to the draft. That is why we have petitioned the SC to allow mandatory reverification in the border districts.
