I have Hindu Bengali friend from Kolkata, and in a conversation he remarked that "NE people are a bit xenophobic".We have done nothing of that sort, yet are labelled as one.
You do realise that even without CAA, persecuted Hindus have been seeking shelter in India from the radical neighborhood muslims since our independence. CAA just shortens the naturalization period, nothing to go ga-ga over it.Withdraw CAA and then do NRC
Ha ha where did I said that? A person agree with the opinions, facts are not a thing to be agreed uponYou agreeing or disagreeing doesn't change the facts.
West Bengalis have little idea about NE, he is entitled to his opinion.I have Hindu Bengali friend from Kolkata, and in a conversation he remarked that "NE people are a bit xenophobic".
CAA and NRC are undeniable facts, learn to deal with it.Ha ha where did I said that? A person agree with the opinions, facts are not a thing to be agreed upon
It was in Odisha, far away from Delhi.
Even neighboring states like UP and Hariyana aren't perturbed by violence.
Heck, Trump gave a speech in Gujarat, went to visit Taj Mahal in UP and had state visit with Modi in New Delhi on the days when so called ' India was burnig
PS: India is big, just too big , it's not 22 Crore like Pakistan, it's not even 122Cr people , it 134 Cr people. Big beyond ur imagination.
How many India you can fit into this?
Around 5 Soviet Union can fit into the population of one India.
Yes, every one irrespective of his/her religious affiliation. But a distinction has to be made between the economic immigrants and those fleeing religious persecution. Hindu Bangladeshi refugees facing religious pogrom in BD would be 5 lakhs at the most in Brahmaputra valley whereas the illegal economic miyas are somewhere between 6-7 millions.
Hindu means one with Hindu name, Muslim means one with Muslim names. So, Avijit Roy will get entry despite being an atheist. That's my takelike the late Avijit Roy
Yes, they should be. Bloggers like Avijit who have been hacked to death or heckled there should be welcomed.Tell me, should Progressive people from Bangladesh, like the late Avijit Roy ( founder of the blog Mukto Mona ), be welcomed in India ?? They have been persecuted by religious radicals and some of them have been assassinated.
But will the BJP government do this ??
Yes, they should be. All the bloggers hacked to death or heckled there should be welcomed here.
So should fearless warriors like Taslima Nasreen be, who dared to challenge the bigots. Btw, what do you Indian muslims think of her work? And what does it have to do with CAA.. Please don't conflate apples and oranges. The minorities in Bangladesh and Pakistan are in a very bad shape, as a progressive i hope you will understand.
Nope, Taslima's has had even worse things to face in her motherland for her beliefs, and also amongst the radical Islamic areas in India like pockets of West Bengal and Hyderabad. Bitter truth is that the condition of folks like Taslima and Avijit in Bangladesh and Pakistan is worse than that of the Hindus there. You are not really a progressive if you fail to appreciate this simple fact.Taslima Nasreen is a naive woman who confused some South Asian Muslim cultural thought with actual Islamic ideas.
If they should choose to live in India they are free to apply for citizenship under the relevant provisions. There is no law here barring citizenship to any foreign national.Progressive bloggers and activists from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan... if they chose to live in India, will be called by the Right-wingers here as "Urban Naxals
