Oh they must have, how can they not bow to Indian pressure, how can we even assume India (nth time) gave in under pressure...everyone promises india something.
It could be as simple as to ensure china do not provide stapled visa to people from Arunachal Pradesh or kashmir.
or it could be something complete different. Its just diplomacy at work.
True. Thaats why I said we need to wait. This is the first time India has done something like this... more developments are certain to follow.
If I have to guess how it will play out for the long term I would place my bet on China becoming more aggressive and hostile to everybody around it.
The Choice will be to either joint them or oppose them. Non aligned will not work since it will be our neighbourhood and not the battle ground of Europe and Africa like it was in the Cold wars.
Better to sharpen our spears and swords.
I must say, you're very loyal to the BJP govt.Kuch Nai.....somethings we will never know until you go a few years down the line. Until then we will have to make our opnions on ifs and butts
I must say, you're very loyal to the BJP govt.
But bro, I have given up on some section of BJP which assiduously works at watering down Modi's efforts.
In this case, Doval was involved so I want to assume that the guy would have been adamant not to make things so easy for China or that China doesn't take us for granted.
Let's wait watch.
what makes you think we arent sharpening our spears ?? what do you think is all this defence procurement is for ?
ATM all we need is to develop our nation... we are growing and the world is ready to supply whatever we want. the day we are fully alligned, the suppliers will be divided for us. We cant afford that until we are developed enough to depend totally on ourselves for weapons. But having said that, i personally do not want India to be quite when China or any country tries to hurt us.. the way chinaa did at the UN wrt Azhar... this didnt go down well with PMO as well and hence the visa issue.
http://satyavijayi.com/india-bans-many-chinese-goods-sub-standard/It was the right strategy, let's hope they haven't withdrawn it without getting anything in return. If it is a unilateral withdrawal under pressure then that's a blunder.
Nonsense what active Ingredient in Pharma Industry? Indian Pharma Industry is totally 100% Indian, Even the Chinese Pharma companies sell their stuff using "Made in India" sticker as was in news 3 years ago.India's Pharmaceutical industry is at the mercy of China, 30% of which is concentrated in Modi's Gujarat:
Here is from Twitter world:
Huh?Don't give my opinions a political coloring
I am not predicting anything, I can not be Nostradamus. We have been sheltering Dalai Lama and Tibetan Refugees for Decades, what makes you think we will bow down to China for some Uigher seperatist ?

I know many Chinese doctors procuring Cancer drugs from India because the cancer patients in China cannot afford those drugs at the price Drug companies sell in China.
If China was holding Indian Pharma Industry at its mercy, why couldn't it make cheaper drugs and Anti-cancer drugs for its own people the way India does and supply it all over the world?
Nope, I know friends in Pharma Industry and i myself from Medical field, what you say is untrue, The equipment might be from China but most of it is made in country. Not true. 90% of all active ingredients for several essential drugs including several antibiotics come from China.
These include Aspirin; antibiotics such as Amoxicillin and Ampicillin, Cephalexin, Cefaclor, Ciprofloxacin, Ofloxacin, Levofloxacin; first line diabetes drug Metformin; antacid Ranitidine..
We import most of our Penicillin-G, and its derivative 6-Aminopenicillanic acid, or 6-APA, as it is commonly known, making India entirely dependent on imports for key intermediates used in many essential antibiotics, including semi-synthetic penicillins and semi-synthetic cephalosporins.
