What's new

India backs off, withdraws Visa to Uyghur terrorists!!

My Question is will that happen and if its not going to happen it is still a clueless initiative

What will happen and and what is not going to happen ?

There is a good saying that is apt for this situation.

ACTION speaks LOUDER than words.

Now China gets to SEE our LOUD NOBLE ACTION. We now demand something in exchange and China have to be grateful since they have already objected to our action and we have "Obliged" their request putting them in our "debt".

China will now pay off this "debt" in some other way.

It was the right strategy, let's hope they haven't withdrawn it without getting anything in return. If it is a unilateral withdrawal under pressure then that's a blunder.

I agree, if this was done unilaterally than Modi's foreign policy regarding China is worse than UPA

Lets wait and watch. There must have been some back door understanding. Given that India is already hosting Dalai lama , this guy should not be a big problem. If chinese continue their rhetoric India can permanently host him. It will serve as a good leverage just like pakistan uses taliban against afghanistan albeit it will only be non-violent.

Chinese are smart ppl, I dont think they will end up taking all the crap for a totally non-entity like masood azhar.

After few days, or some days, some one from China will speak about the nature of this business thereby clarifying what pressure did China exert on India, so much so that India had to renege on Dolkum Isa visa.

It should not have been provided the visa in first place..... Now that they have withdrawn, I hope the objective is achieved........

we call it khisyani billy

China must have promised something in return. May be they are willing to reconsider the veto on Azhar. India has sure riled up China and with this issue.

Oh they must have, how can they not bow to Indian pressure, how can we even assume India (nth time) gave in under pressure...everyone promises india something.

Modi wil have a lot to answer if they have withdrawn the visa without anything in return.. I would like to wait before jumping the gun. Remember they issued the visa before leaving for talks in China.

How would you ever know ? such things are part of the silent diplomacy and will never come to light. You just have to take it on faith.

Exact negotiation may not come to light....but there are results that follows. I think we should wait. we might not know what has happened behind the scenes, but there has to be a reason why we took such a step of issuing visa to chinese sepratist at the first place... not that our diplomats didnt know that China has more influence than India globally. So rest assured, nothing happens just like that. The sole reason India issues 'E-Visa instead of full visa just before leaving for talks indicates things.

It could be as simple as to ensure china do not provide stapled visa to people from Arunachal Pradesh or kashmir.

or it could be something complete different. Its just diplomacy at work.
