Indians on most of the forums keeps on lamenting the fact that Pakistan got twice as much area as India if population percentile in measured, India is roughly 3.6 times bigger than Pakistan in area, with a population which is 6.5 times more...very clear who got the better deal.

As for Kashmir Pakistan has about 43% of Kashmir and not 1/3 of Kashmir which is reported by many media houses, if looked into just India and Pakistan side, and when China Aksai Chin is not taken into consideration which is under China control.

Yeh I know. Ignoring the rights or wrongs of it but I have heard first hand accounts. My maternal uncle was in Bangla '71. They considered the native as "Hindoo" underneath a thin veil of Muslim. They wore Hindoo cloths, their eating habits were like their Hindoo bethren in Indian Bangla. All in all West Pakistani's felt being in a foreign land quite unlike their homeland. And they used the 1947-1971 period to screw them figuretively and literally.

WRONG Again...............................the British had to do it at our BEHEST.......................So even though there were around 5 times as many indians as there were us, Pakistan STILL got over 30% of former indian territory and 40% of Kashmir. We also got 70-80% of Punjab...... Those figures alone say we got the better deal...............

They are using their entire geographical area to prove that they got the better deal but they don't seem to realise that KPK, Balochistan, gilgit baltistan and internal sindh were less populated as they we're arid regions (mountainious for GB case) and could not support large population like the Gangetic fertile plains.. Our largest state is Rajasthan which resembles those regions and has only a fraction of population of UP and bihar. you won't see a single living soul for miles in western Rajasthan. Their only fertile plains are in punjab while entire india has mostly fertile lands from north to south and even in east where the Bengal region lies..

The numbers don't look promising for you, given your increasing population and decreasing water resources. Better deal? PS: There are 1,200,000,000 more indians than Pakistanis. That is 1.2 BILLION. You can NOT tell us about over population. That is even more ominous considering india's area is only 3.5 times larger that that of Pakistan......

That extra poplation is concentrated in only certain areas, so that point is irrelevant. Anyway, my point was we got a lot of territory jinnah felt should be part of pakistan, which means we came out better. whats really impirtant though is we got the origins of most rivers in the indus system, as well as some of the most fertile land in the subcontinent. We also have some of the largest coal and alluminm reserves in the subcontinent, so overall we got a pretty good deal

Most of our land is fertile while most of their land consists of arid regions like Balochistan, FATA, KPK, and internal sindh and moutainious regions like Gilgit Baltistan.. Indians got the best deal during partition, Bangladesh got it worst as they supported Pakistan cause thinking they will get entire Bengal and that will cut off land link of India to North east and they will get that too and they were also expecting arakan of Burma will be given to them as Muslims of that region had sided with the british while majority Buddhist of that region sided with Japan in WW2.. and they ended up with small Bangladesh with their masters in west Pakistan utilizing their resources to run military machine and west Pakistan betterment.. Lol.
Indians also got half of Punjab despite Punjab being muslim majority and that old Punjab means getting Haryana and Himachal too.. Cutting off indian land link to kashmir..

the republic of india has 5 times the population as pakistan. Not british india. There were no pakistanis before 1947, there were only indians. not modern indians, but british indians. and pop density does not change the fact we got most of the land jinnah wanted. The fact there are still over 200 million muslims in india proves that. And you tried to capture the independant state of kashmir in 47, but you failed. Instead we got the majority of it and there is NOTHING you can do to get it back, as the last 4 wars proved.

maybe but pop density does not matter. only raw size does. Also our country has the most fertile farmland and natural resource reseves such as coal alluminum and iron. So we can afford our population. If used correctly populaion can be used as a weapon and our raw size is one reason you will NEVER get back Kashmir. So fine you have the better country. overall i think Bd got the worse deal. They lost large amounts of their territory to India, including their most impirtant city, kolkata. Not to mention many bengali speaking parts of Assam and tripura.
