If the Ganga's can demonstrate that the 'Muslims' or others have a outside ancestry - meaning they originate from outside of India this argumant might carry weight. the thing is north india did not become overpopulated until recent years post independence. There are many possible reasons for this, but that is a topic for another thread. The point is for thousands of years th ganges plains could contain more people due to its more fertile landscape, which is why some of the most powerful indiginous south asian empires originated from that region such as the mauryans and guptas.

Well its a big challenge faced by both countries. No point scoring here. And the most alarming thing is the population boom is mostly with the poorest of moor communities which cant give proper education and health care to their children while the educated middle class who can afford to raise their children in good manner have max 2 to 3 child per couple. Meanwhile lower section of society still have 5 6 children per household still to date.
And i am sure its the same case with India as well

Middle class 1-2 and poor 2-3..explain why you guys have almost 1.6 times the birth rate of india.. Bulk of the population growth is due to states like UP, Bihar, Bengal etc..

Seems you conveniently forgot August the 14th 1947 when a Muslim minority was able to rip, dismember and spread open wide the legs of mother india to create Pakistan from conquered india territory and there is nothing indian kind can do to get that conquered indian territory back again..........

PS Pakistan is 6x bigger than bangladesh in terms of land area which is just under 17% of our size. Pakistan is around 30 to 35% of india's size in terms of area. That say's alot.................

Also, bangladesh was more of a colony of ours than a part of the REAL Pakistan. Apart from religion, bangladeshi people are completely different to Pakistani people in every way. In fact they have FAR more in common with indians than they do with us..........

Wong. The british split india, not muslims. There was no ROI and Pakistan at the time. Actually, we got the better deal, because we got a part of punjab and bengal, even though jinnah opposed partition of those regions. We also got hyderabad, junagadh, Assam, and other regions that were ruled by muslims or majority muslim at the time, which is why jinnah felt modern day Pakistan was moth bitten. and we got most of kashmir and jammu.
