Incredible India In Chinese Media

Ajtr, before calling anyone a bootlicker you should think twice.

You grew up an Indian, and in 1.5 years after marrying a Pakistani, you became a Pakistani yourself!! . And now you are anti-India.
A little bit of introspection and self-esteem, wouldnt be too uncalled for here. Your pandering for Pakistani approval is quite glaring, maybe even pathetic. Its quite sad really.
Btw PDF indians should be the last one to complain when they ruin every thread by continuously calling Pakistanis and Bangladeshis as "Chinese cheer leaders" on this forum. Btw this boot-licking icon was also introduced to this forum by a pdf indian only today for a bangladeshi. Now when you find that shoe is on other foot you are complaining.....
PDF Indians acting as cheerleader of west on this forum is more pathetic than anything in the world.
I think introspection should be done by pdf indians before calling others for the same.............

Firstly, the Buddha was born in Nepal.

Secondly, Hu Shih was an ambassador for the RoC (Republic of China) which is Taiwan.

is Taiwan culturally different from china,or are they one and the same., anyway,he being a ambassador for the ROC doesn't make him an incompetent person to make that claim, does it?. anyone who reads history or has done research is good enough to comment on history.

most of the claims, revelations and comments about the great Egyptian civilization has been made by those who were not Egyptians, but rather western historians and archaeologists.

Lumbini was always the part of any ancient Indian kingdom in North India.

Those were independent kingdoms scattered across the subcontinent, not "India" in any shape or form.

Nepal the country has never been a part of India the country.

Lin Yutang (1895-1976) author of The Wisdom of China and India:

"The contact with poets, forest saints and the best wits of the land, the glimpse into the first awakening of Ancient India's mind as it searched, at times childishly and naively, at times with a deep intuition, but at all times earnestly and passionately, for the spiritual truths and the meaning of existence - this experience must be highly stimulating to anyone, particularly because the Hindu culture is so different and therefore so much to offer." Not until we see the richness of the Hindu mind and its essential spirituality can we understand India...."

"India was China's teacher in religion and imaginative literature, and the world's teacher in trignometry, quandratic equations, grammar, phonetics, Arabian Nights, animal fables, chess, as well as in philosophy, and that she inspired Boccaccio, Goethe, Herder, Schopenhauer, Emerson, and probably also old Aesop."

Hu Shih, (1891-1962), Chinese philosopher in Republican China. He was ambassador to the U.S. (1938-42) and chancellor of Peking University (1946-48). He said:

"India conquered and dominated China culturally for two thousand years without ever having to send a single soldier across her border."

“India is merely a geographical expression. It is no more a single country than the equator.Winston Churchill

I am not talking about PDF.

I am not talking about PDF Indians.

I am not talking about PDF Pakistanis.

I am not talking about PDF Chinese or Bangladeshis or any other nationality in general.

I am not even talking about what you said, cuz frankly to me you are a faceless username on the internet.

I am talking about YOU. And YOUR identity crisis that is evident from your posts. If you really claim to be who you are, then PDF Indians or Indians in general can still do what they want to do and say what they want to say, but YOU are the one that comes out looking a tad pathetic. Its sad - your identity crisis, and your denial of your heritage, your attempts to "belong" to something you actually do not belong to. NOT what you said.

And that is the last time I say that to you. I just wanted to throw it out there.

Enough said.

PS: All of this wouldn't obviously apply if you are still Ticker's alias.

I can't really believe that. The Indian media peddles China and Chinese people as a boogeyman day and night, and from the interactions I have had with Indians so far, it seems to be working exceptionally well.

It is clear that China has no intention of showing India in the same image that the West does, but that doesn't make a bit of difference.

According to the Pew Global research polls, Chinese perceptions of India have become sharply negative over the past two years, from a majority positive to a majority negative. Which is probably due to more Chinese venturing onto the English-language internet and seeing what Indians really think of them.

And those perceptions are mirrored in the Indian view of China (majority negative), according to the same polls.

Apart from Russia, Chinese has an overall negative impression for every country on the face of our mother earth. :D

But according to the international polls, China is the 5th most positively viewed nation on the planet.

Ranked higher than both the EU (7th) and the USA (8th). And all three are ranked above India.

Polls dont mean anything dude.

Out of the 7 billion on this planet, how many do polls consider?

But that is also why negative views dont matter.

This post of mine has nothing to do with China, just my view on all of these so called "polls".

Actually i would say India is a myth in the imagination of PDF indians looking for some sort of common identity in a geographical feature occupied by multiple ethnicities,multi-linguistic people of diverse culture.

Nepal was never a part of India, check the history.

the question was about the influence of Indian cultures on china, and Buddha was born into a HINDU family, which is primarily the religion of India, and even to this day the cultures of India and Nepal are similar.Nepal's history is intertwined with India,so when you are talking about Nepal's history, the story is incomplete if you don't include India in there history books.

back when Buddha was born, some 2000 years back, the subcontinent existed as one, they were not divided as they are now.
