Incredible India In Chinese Media

Taught us culture?

China existed for a thousand years before Buddha was born in Nepal.

You guys are really stretching your delusion. Out of all the cultural rituals we still practice, like the Mid-Autumn Festival and Ancestors Day, none of that has anything to do with Buddhism but rather Confucianism.

Hinduism and India are both names that came from the "Indus River" in PAKISTAN. :D It is an artificial creation, named after a river in BRITISH INDIA, not in modern India.

For the 3rd time on same page i am telling you............Dont talk history on basis of current facts. Modern Indian region has nothing to do with ancient Indian History.

Both "Hindu" and "India" came from the word Indus, as in the Indus River.

Which exists almost entirely in modern day Pakistan.

These two concepts were created based on the name of a river in BRITISH INDIA. What were they before that? Nothing but a bunch of individual kingdoms and beliefs artificially tied together by these new labels.

They were new creations that were named after the Indus River, same with Red Indians and West Indians. It was just a name that the British Empire liked to throw around, even applying it to people halfway across the world with no connection to the subcontinent.

Actually hind was the term first used by Arabs for the subcontinent when they came for trading and they used the word Hindu for all people in this region.

Gupta Empire, Maurya Empire, Bharat's Empire all formed 90% of current Indian Subcontinent. You need to go to the ancient history of India. Dont limit history just for ur own sake.

even if it hurts you the most, cant ignore that Hinduism and Buddhism born out it, and which are religions of Hindus and Indians controlled and taught you guys culture for 2000 YEARS. Be thankful and salute your stars that you were so lucky, to receive enlightenment from Hinduism and Buddhism.

Tell us which Chinese culture is related to India??? Actually without us, you are probably still in dark age.

Rice was first cultivated in China. Food is the mother of all cultures. I also read a few articles recently, like earliest pottery discovered in China, earliest wine discovered in China etc. Except the backwards Buddhism, do you guys have any contribution to the world?

Exactly. but how bout focusing of what the word hind or hindu means? names change but ideology remains the same and this IDEOLOGY i am talking bout existed millenias before.

Leave it bro if u are so adamant. IF u r really interested in knowing the facts rather than winning a debate, go and surf the internet and read articles by ur own chinese scholars. lets not waste each others time.

Buddha was born in Nepal.

Lumbini to be precise.

Our whole country's culture is due to Hindus?

I guess that's why we have a Caste System and don't use toilets?

Buddhism had some influence on Chinese history, same as Taoism and Confucianism. But China today is a majority non-religious country. You can keep your Hinduism, for all the good it has done for you.

No Buddhist in the world would be caught dead saying that they were a Hindu. It is a completely different religion.

Hu Shih, former Ambassador of China to USA
: "India conquered and dominated China culturally for 20 centuries without ever having to send a single soldier across her border."

this is what educated chinese say.... who cares for u?

now anoder thing.... budhism owes most of d concepts from hinduism

concept of maya, moksha, meditation and reincarnation all comes from hinduism,

hinduism is not all about saakaar brahma ( idols) but also about niraakaar brahma ( formless and shapeless god), its upto u which path u want to follow. Buddha followed the path of niraakaar brahma

that same nepal which followed Indian Ideology. (Now plz dont come up with present India, British India, Islamic India, Alien India, etc).

Bottomline is, we are talking bout a culture which was followed by Whole India that time. Its a conceptual stuff. Dont make it this country that country. For your satisfaction, Even if it came from Nepal, that time nepal had exactly the same ideology that of the Indian Subcontinent.

Hu Shih, former Ambassador of China to USA: "India conquered and dominated China culturally for 20 centuries without ever having to send a single soldier across her border."

Buddha was born in Nepal, this is a fact. And Nepal was never a part of India.

And Hu Shih was an ambassador from the ROC (Taiwan), not from us.

Dont teach him Hinduism bro. Do u really think he cares a damn? :)

telling you for the 4th time. :)

 at the ignorant Chinese. I will show you the Hindusim and how Buddhism born out of Influence of Hindus and Hinduism in India

1) Buddha learnt Buddhism while being taught in the principles and by scholars of Hinduism... and while Practicing Hinduism

2) Nepal was part of India's HINDU King's Empire

3) Nepal was HINDU nation and still is

4) Buddha was born to Hindu parents

5) Buddha was born HINDU

Hindus and Hiduism --> Buddhism ---> Ruled China for 2000 Years

and Hindusim and Buddhism taught you Chinese basics of culture for 2000 YEARS.

So a Hindu who learnt Hinduism and then created a new religion Buddhism from his leanings from Hindusim ruled you guys for 2000 Years, and taught culture to you.

but I guess even 2000 Years were less to make you guys civil as I can see how ashamed you are and how you try to discredit Buddhism and Hinduism, which are responsible for bringing culture and civilization to you guys.

do you even know how NEPAL is called by this name?

"Local legends say that a Hindu sage named "Ne" established himself in the valley of Kathmandu in prehistoric times and that the word "Nepal" came into existence as the place protected ("pala" in Sanskrit) by the sage "Ne". This folk etymology of the name Nepal means, "the country looked after by Ne".[11]"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nepal#Etymology

Even the name of the COUNTRY NEPAL is based on the basis of a great HINDU sage.

and this also,

"According to the most traditional biography, Buddha was born in a royal Hindu family[21] to King Śuddhodana, the leader of Shakya clan"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gautama_Buddha

so always remember a HINDU practising HINDUISM was powerful and enlightened enough during his learning period to create BUDDHISM from his learnings.

Hinduism and Buddhism taught you guys culture and ruled you guys for 2000 Years.

So India is the cradle of cilvilisation and culture for you 1.2 billion Chinese. So it is not without reason that mother India is treated as the center of civilisation and culture of the whole world.

So next time be civil and treat Hindiuism and Buddhism with respect.

actually we did have some contribution to the world... :)
