In a First, Russia Uses an Iran Base for Its Syria Campaign

Your opinions arnt facts, in fact everything you say is out of touch with reality. In 1986 the Soviet Union had the upper hand in Afghanistan, they controlled most major population centers.
I know they controlled major population centers. That's what I've been saying myself here. Despite that the war was lost and in 1986 they began a gradual withdrawal.

This was the reason stinger missiles were given to the Mujahadeen, again Afghanistan did not fall until 1992.
Yep Najibullah was good. Managed to hold for 3 years after withdrawal. Assad wont hold even a year after Iranian and Russian withdrawal. And withdrawal will happen sooner or later.

The TU-22 can actually carry 69 bombs including externally. A payload of 24 bombs is nothing special certainly nothing that would require the use of an airbase in Iran.
No they carry 24 bombs.

You just drew some random lines
No lines are not random but based on footage and geolocation.

Here let me help you:

Does this look like 2.5 or 10 football fields? Most bombs got a direct hit on that building which is not large, definitely no where near the size of a football stadium.
Post geolocaton and video. Without that ur pic worth nothing at all.

Is this a joke? How does that has anything to do with the awesome firepower the TU-22's can deliver on their targets.
See examples above. "Awesome" Tu-22 miserably failed to do something that even F-16 with cheap JDAMs could do with ease.

Should i use the same logic that USAF has been using the B1's and B52's and still unable to defeat the Taliban who are growing stronger everyday. Seriously, you have officially lost all credibility you had. Everything that you predicted has turned out to be wrong.
USAF B1 and B52 drop smart bombs not WW2 style carpets.

I agree, Kobani was by far the biggest blunder by ISIS. Its quite evident on the battlefield that they have failed to replace their best soldiers and commanders. Not only are the Rebels loosing many men, they are also loosing lots of equipment. Equipment will be a lot more harder to replace for the Rebels than Men. The corridor might be open for the Rebels but the SAA has been bombarding the corridor as they desire. I haven't seen any major resupply of arms and ammunition. The funny thing is, now the Chinese have chosen to enter the arena on the side of the Government. Just think of the resources whether its money or arms the Chinese bring to the table.
.

Some one should really train the SAA officers better. Hopefully the Russians have given them some insight on how a professional military works and the Chinese can add to that with equipment and maybe training of Syrian officers in the Chinese military academy. Even India has been moving closer to Syria. We will have MOS Ext Affairs Minister M.J.Ackar will be heading to Syria and Iraq in 2-3 days and will be personally meeting Assad. Not sure what will come out of those meetings but what is assured is that once this war is over Indian and Chinese investment in Syria will increase considerably. Russians will be sending around 1 million rounds of ammunition and equipment to the Iraqi kurds for the Mosul offensive. So we are seeing Diplomatically and Financially for India and China entering in the area added with the military cooperation by the Chinese.

Chechnya, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova are still waiting for us to withdraw :D

He is suffering from dimension, dillusions of grandeur and other forms of mental illness. The other day he took some random photos, drew some redlines in MS paint and claimed that Russian carpet bombing has a dispersion of 2.5-10 football fields, funny thing is that those photos did not even show any Russian bombs, in other words he Made some random lines on random photos and made some random figures.

It was a natural course of action Sir. It was bound to happen. Economics and Geopolitics ensured this rapprochement, just watch how the supply lines for the rebels start drying up with the passage of time.

Indirectly maybe, but we are far too away from this. It affects Pakistan more, but fortunately Pakistan is not interested because believe it or not the Pakistani Nation as a whole is exhausted with war and is simply looking for a Peace Solution. We are exhausted, demoralized, and the last thing we need is another war. I never thought that in my life time i would see the Pakistani Government say NO to Saudi Arabia for indirect support to FSA and direct support to Saudi Ground Forces in Yemen. That's proof enough that neither the Pakistani Military or Government is looking to get sucked into this Middle Eastern clusterfu**.

No strong evidence to suggest that, but the writing is on the wall. The mere fact that Putin called Erdogan immediately is proof enough that the Russian's probably picked up some chatter.

That's natural

Playing to the audience, plenty against India too.

Elections in UP, and playing to the domestic gallery but certainly a blunder as this is the first time an Indian PM has openly acknowledged Indian interference in Balochistan. We always knew that, but it was only a hush hush.

@Star Wars @hellfire @Joe Shearer

Regarding Aleppo, you guys are missing the writing on the wall. This is by far the biggest assembly of Syrian Rebels in one Geographical Point. The rebels have thrown in everything they had, and have placed their reserves on the front lines. That's how desperate they were. No doubt they were able to break through, but from a strategic perspective its a moot point because for the first time such a massive number of Rebels have been assembled in one Geographical Location. They are loosing men by the dozens everyday because the Regime is blasting them with Artillery and Aerial Strikes. Everyday their ranks get smaller, and they are loosing precious commanders. Most of their positions are under constant threat of Artillery, thus casualties are kicking in fast. The rebels have lost of their shock troops, and their elite fighting soldiers are either dead or severely tired.

On the other hand, the Syrian Government have already dispatched the Republican Guard, Tiger Forces, Hezbollah, Iraqi Militas and Iranian Militas. The Russians have upped the ante by placing their backfires much more closer to the targets, meaning they can deliver overwhelming firepower. In an urbanized environment like Aleppo, these backfires can drop a lot of bombs with quite some accuracy and devastate the enemy's defences. On the ground, this looks like a very impressive assembly of Forces for Assad. With the rebels encircled, with only one corridor opened, it looks to me that the Government Forces will try to close the gap and make this into a meat grinder for the Rebels. Attack them from the Air and Artillery, and completely demoralize them before moving in.

Thoughts?
If you think this war can be won Just militarily then you will have to wait for decades to be honest.

Once we decided to step in, Syria government should be worry free now. we mean it. Last time when we just gave some guidance to sri lanka, its decades long tamil tiger rebels got crushed in a blink.

What happened in Chechnya I've already described. Russian population was expelled and never returned. And Russia pays billions to Chechen warlord for formal loyalty. This scenario is excluded in Syria, coz Russia cant feed 20 million Sunnis as it feeds 1 million Chechnya.

In Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova Russia occupied small enclaves with Russian/pro-Russian population. Possible that Russia will keep Alawistan in Syria too.

But overall its very poor situation for Russia. They got trillions of petrodollars in 2000-es and wasted them om military adventures and saber rattling. Same did Iran.

In other words you you can't back your claim so you tell me it's my problem. Did you actually think you are that clever and everyone is so stupid that no one will call you out on tall claims that have no proof behind them, let alone even make rational sense? Geolocation and video is supposed to prove what? The Russians themselves released the footage, you posting the video provided by the MOD and them claimed you geolocatled the target, which proves anything, it certainly doesn't prove that any target was off by 10 football fields.

What did you give me exactly? The first picture is a FLIR from what appears to be an SU-34, looking at the cross hairs it appears the target was hit, yet you claimed it was way off which is an irrational claim. What is your proof? A photo with a line you drew?

Explain in detail what that photos is supposed to demonstrat because apparently you are such a genius and everyone is dumb. All I see is a random photo, with a random line that you drew and an unsubstantiated claim. The photo doesn't even show munitions dropped or the aftermath of munitions dropped in order to actually make a calculation of distance between each bomb dropped, so explain yourself.

In other words you are a moron. I am still asking how you concluded that a target missed by 2.5-10 football fields when the target in the cross hairs was hit.

Please make more rediculus claims, I am still laughing at your other claim that of an overturned truck which you claims was hit by a Russian airstrike yet there was zero damage to the truck, no shrapnel, no fire damage and even the cloth roof and cardboard boxes had no fire damage or shrapnel

No target was not hit.

1) Target was this HUGE building:

http://wikimapia.org/#lang=he&lat=35.967344&lon=38.984647&z=18&m=b

2) Its 80x65 m size (similar to football field).
3) Tu-22 dropped some 10-12 bombs hitting 350x50 m area (equal to 2.5 football fields).
4) Yet it failed to hit the target.

Conclusion:

1) Extremely huge collateral damage (~2.5 football fields).
2) Extremely poor accuracy (cant hit even a football field size target).

I think it is 3 aspects, first provide financial and ammunition support whatever nessacery, then to help develop battle strategy on the ground, last is to help trainning their troops. It is beginning now as we speak.

The main point here is that we are not a just by stander anymore in middle east. From now on, we will actively involve into those activities and challenge america's position in that aera. we will fullly counter-strike US in every corner of the world, from east asia to SCS to middle east.

Well said. Financial, weaponry-ammunition, logistical, space surveillence, cyber, personnel training and humanitarian aid are some basic support China can contribute to the Syria-Russia-Iran coalition. Among many weaponry, UAV like CH-5 may be applicable.

Remember the joint naval drill in the Mediterranean with Russia last year? I believe by increasing naval presence, more support can be provided to coalition ground troops.
