And NS government was doing fabulous right? Just before their five year term came to end the plane ran out of gas and headed straight for crash. Please tell us what was happening to the economy six months before the last years elections???

.
Ugh.. few months back, the Pakistan financial minister was saying the country will never goto IMF and its Indians dreaming about it. Now they have IMF running the economy.. what funny turn of events.

.
Nawaz, Zardari and almost every other politician is corrupt to the core. Whereas IK is completely incompetent. I don't support any party. This democracy is nothing more than a farce to make a fool out of gullible people.
To save Pakistan this entire system must be removed.

"Na nau mun tail ho ga, na Raadha naachay gi"

Yeh. Politicians. What do you know. Just over 70 years ago Nehru was singing to his people about "tryst with destiny". Seven decade later many Indians are still enjoying their "tryst with destiny" by being tied like animals pulling rickshaws.

Politicians eh?

I think the next few months will clearly show if this guy will destroys the economy of this country. The single biggest sign will be the DEVALUATION of the Rupee, and impact on the Foreign Exchange Reserves. If this happens, it will clearly indicate that the traitors are sitting at every level of the Government including the Military. Just look at Bangladesh and the way it is progressing. It should be a Slap in the face of these Gutless leaders sitting in Pakistan. Shame on them.
To be fair to the current leadership, the seeds for these problems were sown in the last 10+ years. The current gov't was basically caught between malice and powerlessness, though I wish they just admitted to the latter and stepped down. Yes, it wouldn't look good at first, but I think coming clean on everything and then walking away would have been the better way; if anything, it'd force the electorate to finally ask the tough questions (i.e., why is the system like this, why is the economy the way it is, what got us here, etc). Sadly, we're just stuck with the same old cycle of, "oh this guy was bad, we need to vote in the less bad guy."

I see where you are coming from . Sadly for people to ask questions of their leaders(i mean really asking, not pissing away on media and forums) , we need to have half a brain. Sadly our nation does not possess any brains to speak of.
Here’s what will happen. IK will step down and will probably be ridiculed to the point that he will either die or self-exile to the UK. In the face of this monumental disaster, Ganja and Mr 10% will start the “we told you so” bandwagon. People will start to think (totally forgetting who these guys are and what they did) that these are our saviours. Let’s vote them in. Rinse, repeat.

I think, to be fair again, what can people possibly ask if they don't have an alternative on the table?

We don't have a think-tank building an alternative economic framework with cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, etc. We don't have influential trustworthy figures coming up and asking about CPEC (and the fact that it's lopsided in favor of China). In fact, we're not even asking about offsets, barter trade, etc.

We won’t be supplied an alternate from the heavens, we need to come up with that ourselves. We have no good think-tank to speak of. You need to have thinkers to have a think-tank. We just enjoy the show and live our petty lives, that’s enough for us. The state of our politics is such that anyone with the brains and the will to turn this country around, will stay miles away from the government . They wouldn’t want to touch the government with a ten foot pole. Whoever comes to politics only ends up losing all his dignity and integrity. We humiliate anyone that comes to power. As an example, we also forced Ayub to resign with the infamous “Ayub Kutta hai hai” chant. Such is our nation. To expect someone to come and fix us is just a fairy tale.
