if there is a student whose parents are the ones to force him to have suicidal thoughts and india's wrong education/employment system creates this problem in the first place, the psychiatrist will give some anti-depression medicine to the student and "counsel" him... the real problem in the system doesn't get removed, it stays and our student may not suicide immediately but will live a miserable life... not to speak of other students who suicide.

india is "suicide capital of the world" and bangalore is india's "suicide capital", therefore bangalore is the world suicide capital... why is this despite the huge numbers of psychiatrists in india presently??

similarly, the farmers and their family members are surrounded by a wrong economic and social system... until that is replaced with a scientific and humane one, this problem will remain.

Farmers make a big percentage of our population now and historically. They have depended upon cows for their livelihood, the exact reason it is sacred for them. They feel deeply about cow slaughter cause for them cows are more than just a part of the family.

Muslims can eat buffalo beef it they like, why is that eating one form of meat is killing their religion? Are Muslims so insecure?

Muslim rights are slowly but surely being taken away from them. Muslims do not view the cow as sacred-well they do but in another way-to cut it and eat it. Taking that fundamental right away from them, especially in a region that is majority muslim is a sure way of systematic oppression. This is different. Pork being sold without being labelled as such is nothing welcome. It is forcing or cheating someone into eating pork without knowing it. It would be similar if beef was given surreptitiously to Hindus. But here we are arguing for the right of muslims or hindus to eat what they please, without interference from anyone else. It is liberal secular customs we stand for and enemies of these customs seem to be everywhere. A larger threat in India though as the election of jingoistic modi proves.
