Generally 60-70% of Muslims in Pakistan use to offer Jumma and Eid prayer in Mosque.
This is the biggest opportunity for mullah to exploit them at mimber with US involvement,kerry lugar bill,Indian un-circumscribed involved persons...etc. Mullah has lot of stuffs to oppose the operation against terrorist.
In recent jamat-islami( defame Islami) conducting referendum against US involvement in Pakistan.They don't spare a single word against terrorist who are even killing our Students in universities.
Last night Qazi sb is telling at Express channel that all this terrorism is conducted by US in Pakistan

Majority of people don't aware about reality.Unfortunately they have to face this freaking mullahs in mosque and have to get this disinformation.Certainly these propaganda machines working for last many years to destabilize and scattered the nation and country.
But now their activities are full swings.

We have only choice to stop this mullah to do this propaganda. And this job would must be done everyone where he find such blacksheep in Jumma prayers.

Qazi, Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan should all be bundled in a plane and flown to Bagram, for onward shipment to the Guantanamo bay before Dec 31, 2009 (before it cannot take fresh entrants).

Beard doesnt make any difference , there are horrendous examples of Mullahs caught runnin silly businesses having the cover of a mosque stories like these are not told due to their sensitivity. We all were very over protective of our Mullahs its the first time people have the oppurtunity to speak out the truth.

I am not sure in which society you are living on, i have spend my life in different cities of pakistan (even in UK) also spend some time with many mullah's and my take is most of the Mullah are good people, and when you ask them something only then they tell you whether it is wrong or right w.r.t their knowledge. Also there are 100s of Mullah who aren't well educated, if you ask them the question, which they don't know then they will say i will check the books and then let you know.. I never got any non-sense answer, when we ask about according to Quran & Hadith. But yes when it comes to asking logic then obviously you will get non-sense answers, since they are not meant for that, they can't explain why prophet muhammad (saww) done that and that.. they only know prophet muhammad (saww) done it so it is sunnah or farz etc. I wont blame them since their education is totally is like that.. our Government don't support madrass.. mostly madrass and mosque are dependent upon the sadqa, khairat.. and only they are responsible for putting it alive.. This is a very sarcastic statement. When you so graciously counted misdeeds and injustices of the West, why do you ignore the execution of women by Taliban in Kabul football ground or cutting of PA soldier's throats by the Swati Taliban? Both these were on videos.

Criticizing mullahs does not mean sanctioning third party’s actions. IMO both the parties have committed misdeeds. US only seems to be punishing foreigners but Taliban butchers are killing fellow Pakistani Muslims! These acts were sanctioned by some mullahs; JI openly admit their liking for Taliban.

I grew up in a village in Pakistani Punjab. I am familiar with the mullahs as I learnt to read holy Quran from one of them. It is quite correct to say that majority of the mullahs or Imam Masjids were not very well educated and their knowledge was limited to Quran and Islamic practices such as marriages, deaths and some Sharia law.

Even in my time (1950’s) there were differences in Braelvi and Deobandi schools. Deobandis were particularly against celebrating ‘Urs’ of Saints and taking out procession on Eid Milad un Nabi or singing and dancing on the weddings. However arguments were limited to verbal exchanges only. The rot started with the bigot Zia usurping power. He repaid support of JI and Saudi Arabia by helping Deobandis and Wahabis taking over a lot of mosques previously held by the Braelvis.

I happened to go to my village in 1997 to attend funeral of one of my uncles. Things had changed for the worse. People were scared to attend Eid or Janaza prayers because of attacks of the sectarian lashkars on prayer meetings. In my youth, few mosques had names and it did not matter which mosque you go to for offering prayers. However, I personally saw a plaque “This mosque is of such as such maslak”. Understand that Multan now boasts a mosque called ‘Masjid Abu Sufian’

Abu Sufian was for a long time the biggest enemy of Islam. If you must, why not name the mosque on one of other Sehabas. Must you choose Abu Sufian? Obviously the purpose is to taunt a section of the population. Is this not a deliberate act of mischief by some mullah?

I am not an Islamic scholar, but I have read history of the Wahabi movement. Wahabis had the attendance register of the Fajr prayers. IMO any one who forces Islam by force is acting against the Quranic verse (La Ikraha fiddeen) which means there is no compulsion in Islam. I believe that every individual has to answer for his actions on the Day of Judgment and if I deserve hell, I would be so cast. But I won’t accept a particular version Islam pushed down my throat by a self righteous bigot.

Regret to say that most of the current Salafi, Wahabi and a lot of Deobandi mullahs are guilty of spouting venom, having heard it myself on the Friday Khutba. Therefore despite admitting the fact that all mullahs are not evil, sufficient number of them are; I am thus a confirmed anti mullah; this includes mullahs of all faiths.

Call me a liberal fascist if you like, but I would say to hell with the mullahs. I repeat a couplet by Hafiz in my defence.
