Who are they and why they like them?

The way it works is that so long as there is someone lower down the ladder than you, the caste system is all right. So people like Yadavs, Ahirs, Jats, Patels, Reddys, and so on, who aren't the top dogs, and aren't the face-ground-into-the-dirt untouchables, put on airs to feel superior. They often turn out to be the worst oppressors, even more than Brahmins, Rajputs or Baniyas.

They're not UC but close to them - Ahir, Jat, Gujjars and other farming communities are OBCs.

So when say Nehru and Gandhi saved you, you basically admit Hindus saved you.

Also without the support of millions of nice and kind common Hindus, these Hindu leaders on their own couldn't have saved you when most Pakistani states were emptying Hindus and Sikhs, the same could've happened to Muslims in every Indian states, the same Indian Muslim who had wholeheartedly voted for Muslim League in 1946 elections.

Especially when you have alternatives that espouse Muslim concerns at the national level.

I for one agree with you.

The vast majority of non Muslims are united in hatred of Islam and Muslims. Caste distinctions matter little today.
