I wrote after the Oct 7th attacks that MOST of the Israeli casualties are actually IDF soldiers serving near the Gaza fence, most had a day off. Other Israeli’s who were there either served or will serve, thereby, making them legitimate military targets in this war.

What we are witnessing is a war with the intensity of passions on all sides unlike other wars in the world and this conflict has a damned gory history of going back well over a thousand years of such brutal conflict.
This is not India-Pakistan, Iran-Iraq, Russia-Ukraine, Vietnam-China and or the multitude of proxy wars during the Cold War. This is as much of a religious war as about wars for resources.

Correct, militants supposedly in a base under a hospital is no excuse to bomb the hospital. They can bomb any civilian infrastructure by that logic, such as water supply.

Are you saying there won't be terrible wars anymore because of 'social media'? Syrian and Yemeni wars have caused deaths of half million each and still are continuing. Everyone is seeing everything reduced to rubble in those countries; What has 'social media' achieved? Iraq, Afghanistan, Al-Qaeda, ISIS all happened in modern times under the glare of 'social media'. None of this looks actionable or of any lasting consequence. What do these countries plan to do right now? If done in conjunction with OPEC countries, going into winter, Even a 25% drop in oil and gas exports to the world can have a significant effect on the global economy and the election prospects of many global leaders.
