Yes, water has not been restored yet. So far it's just information from Israeli media.Bastards, i should assume something like that, it was to good to be true when announced.
Israel does not have the industrial capacity to sustain a long term war. They are tiny, and barely even have any industry to speak of. The only thing keeping Israel alive is US/West support, and that will eventually weaken as the West weakens and geopolitical shifts finalize (already in motion). One day, the Zionists will be reminded of what they did and how they treated their Muslim and Christian neighbors.
Without Western support, Israel would not be able to sustain a war for more than 2 months.
Too early to say at this point.
In past Israel-Gaza conflicts, the paradigm was 'mowing the grass', which meant 'degrading' the Gazan' resistance enough to get a few years of breathing room for Israel. But this time Gazans have repeated what Hezbollah did in 2006: Showing the entire world that Israel is indeed vulnerable. Who really knows Israel's objectives? NY Times is saying that killing the top heirarchy of Hamas is the immediate goal...
Also, there is no doubt a regional war will put the world economy into a tailspin and Democrats are aware of that in the elections year--the 2024 elections. Already the Repubs are going to grill them for the death of the 13 Marines in Kabul in August 2021. Any more body bags and a really bad economy, and Dems are toast. My WASP friends have been telling me that 2024 will be very bad for lower and middle class Americans.
Then there is the Russia-Ukraine war in which, almost assuredly, Zelensky is toast now--at the least, he won't be able to get the lost land back. A huge strategic defeat for NATO. Palestinians have just given Putin a huge gift!!
So, it is not just the Israel-Hamas conflict but a host of other issues are to be factored in.
This Sisi reminds me of Pakistani generals.
The simultaneous deployment of two US aircraft carriers to the region and the recent US deliberate downing of a Turkish drone is not an issue overshadowed by the Israeli-Palestinian war. Before this happened, threatening messages were routinely issued from the Pentagon and the WH because they think the Turkish army's ground operation about began. After 70 years of efforts, the US policy has reached the point where the two remaining allies it relies on are Israel and the PKK/PYD. One is a terrorist organization and the other is state, but their actions are no different from other.I think this is more related to the EEZ and the Turkish drilling efforts because the US strike groups are in that area, perhaps Turkey wants to show their presence and declare their EEZ? Or is it for the Palestinians, hmm
