I think that aerial bombings and special forces on the ground alongside the Kurds and Iraki army will be the way.

But IS is operating from Iraq,correct me if I am wrong.So,Americans attacked Afghanistan since Afghan was place where Taliban had their headquarters,why not we are operating within Iraq first?This will shake IS,if they are operating and spreading from Iraq?

Still thats no excuse nor is it in the main point of the fact that Turkey being a NATO member has honestly contributed its citizens and risked their lives be it Afghanistan, Iraq, or whatever under NATO flag.

But none of them seem to help Turkey in the hour of need, while even on moral grounds as one member from Romania said. While to add to the insult the absolutely non acceptable attitude Germany towards Turkey after the attacks adds to the injury.

I mean Turkey is the most populated country in europe after germany with 75 million strong with a powerful technological base, industry and economy, while germany itself now rules EU on the same basis after its country was finally united in 1990.

It does looks like lives of Some European countries arnt important but other r.

Turkey gets alot from Europe.

I've said nobody is whining,not that muslim countries didn't show solidarity.I'm pretty sure all internationl community condemned the attacks in Turkey or the Peshawar school attacks to.But,take a look on this forum...it never is enough....

My point is....

You know about the PKK attacks in Turkey ? EUs says "Turkey should response proportional to terror groups".

Not to forget that US aiding PYD offshoot of PKK.


Now how would you react like if Turkish officials says "France must be proportional in it's attacks against ISIS"
Or how would US react if we supply 50 Tons of military equipment to Al-Nusra ???

Turkey refused to cooperate in Irak.In A'stan the US invoked article 5,everyone went in...from the US...to Latvia.

I am getting tired of you Indians list of allegations on this thread. Has India ever treated us muslims with respect or given equal treatment to a Hindu terrorist as that given to a muslim one. Afzal Guru was hanged, Tunda arrested without even proper proof they were terrorists yet a man like Babu Bajrangi the man who tore wombs of muslim women is still moving around, possibly my work reveals even given a job in intelligence.

So India has a differential policy towards muslim terrorists and a much softer one for people like Sahdvi Pragya and Purohit. At least Pakistan is fighting terrorism with blood and fire regardless of their religion. It will be hard for a hypocritical people like Hindutvas to see this reality. India has never even gone after RSS even though its member killed Gandhi and in every attack almost it is them that have a role-clear or obfuscated but a role indeed.

why cant you people differentiate between terrorists and criminals?(which are found every where in world)

We really regret for such loss of lives.Pakistan can understand this pain because we have lost our own women and children in this long warfare.Terrorists are just terrorists and they should be hanged for taking innocent lives.
I have a question,however that why many talk about attacking Syria?why not working as alliance and performing ops like US and Pakistan had together such as operation enduring freedom,or they are just theories meant to earn some spices?

I always wanted that all countries unite together to fight them til the last,it is an absolute priority,every country should put away their differences and fight together.
And Hollande said that France will destroy ISIS but with its allies and other countries. Hollande will meet Putin and Obama to discuss more effective pooling of our ressources with those of Russia and USA.

They actually do in iraq, those supply lines passed through Turkey. Turkey is still co-operating and US is using its bases to bomb its on campaign on ISIS.

But then again like @Sinan has put in this post its not candle lights etc But what u expect from someone if the EU and America says that Turkey should fight itself against terrorism? What would article 5 do if their is no unity when the target and victims r others.

Capital of Isis is Raqqa in Syria. Iraq is just a side business for Isis. The real issue here is Syria.

US has not been very successful in Afghanistan. After 14 years, they are now negotiating with Taliban for a truce. Imagine if after 14 years of aerial bombardment and occupation, they will have to do the same here.

The solution is to strengthen the state institutions of Syria particularly its military in order to bring back order to that region. This would mean French planes providing air support for Assad military to go and take back the country. This would mean France giving foreign military aid to Assad.

But since they burnt all the bridges with Assad, they have been left with the only option of dropping 16 bombs from 10 planes on some buildings in the middle of the desert which the Isis zombies do not care one iota for.

Situation on the ground calls for a 180 degree policy change for France (and even for US). Their hubris does not allow them to take such a decision. So expect a few sorties, and nothing else. The only real long lasting effect this tragedy will have would be the curbing of civil freedoms in French society and enacting a kid gloved police state, mass surveillance and propagation of xenophobia.

If Turkey would fight ISIS on ITS borders there would no need to support the Kurds.The Kurds fight ISIS on the ground so they need help.
