O Mr. do you know, what's the OP all about?
I'm not a SW engineer, but he's talking about SW tools, used in machine programing. Nothing to do with knowledge or data.
These tools should be made available to all of our Engineering universities.

remember these kind of embargoes are a chance for us. Look at Pressler. Now we have JF17.
Yes it will cost lot more, but if we use the chance we have to build ourselves all things we need, then we will be FREE.

Project azm would not just be a plane development program but whole integrated systems development for fifth generation fighter System

And this would include electronics hardware and software development too

I believe if our friend could not download original software due to country based restrictions there must be pirated cracked version available we should learn from em and develop our own system

I was about to do some Vlsi project in Pakistan, but seems like Pakistan is not allowed to even download embedded system development software. Moreover, it also seems like Pakistanis are also not allowed to use software related to embedded systems and VLSI design, which are offered by companies of US origin. Main parts are Mentor, Xilinx, Cadence etc.
So my question is, is USA our friend or enemy?
This also answered my old question: why in Pakistan we don't have big VLSI industry working.
I don't know whether other software industry is also getting affected or not.
So, here I would like to request the guys sitting in big positions in Pak govt to clear up this issue with US officials that they should relook upon this dark and deep embargoe on Pakistani people and Pakistani market.
If they say no, then from my side, it's already an all out war against Pakistan. And we should respond to it.

High Tech Gadget and Software Knowledge embargo are done softly everyday folks don't realize the immediate impact
We have had our share of embargo in past

USA continuously trains our military guys. Military hardware is also more or less supplied.
So on military side, embargoes are little less strict.
On industrial side however, we are not allowed to buy Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, Design software and design fixtures. This has crippled our economy from within.
Second issue is economic embargoes. While transferring money to Pakistan, many platforms deny transfer of money if it is for business purposes. The strings of all of these platforms are tide with central US banking sector (and ultimately US senate).

So, USA has damaged Pakistan enough .

And Pakistan reserves the right to retaliate in every possible manner.
