Firm owned by PM's adviser wins bid for construction of Mohmand Dam

Even then, this raises the doubts..

He should have temporarily resigned.. A son's company is still related just like Nawaz can't bring the argument that his sons own the properties not him..

It is clear conflict of interest and the whole process should be repeated again, and when Abdul Razzak Daud is not on his seat..

And this should also be reviewed by competition commission..

I agree, it does look like its conflict of interest. The process needs to start over

Yes if currency devalues, the State Bank is responsible, not the PM, cuz State bank didn't told the PM before devaluing the Currency... oh oh don't listen to Governor State bank, he is lying... he didn't told the Finance minister before devaluation of the currency, Our PM is pawitar. Here, in this case Wapda is the culprit for favouring PM's close partner & advisor Razak Dawood...

PM tu nanha munna ha, chunna ha, us ko kia pata, roti ko chochi kehta ha, but han chalo hum kahay daitay han... us ko pata hona chahiye tha, Wapda kia ker raha ha.... ab khush, but he is pawitar even if it is a conflict of interest....

#Hypocrites

Lol look who is calling others hypocrites. Atleast here us PTI supporters are actually saying that it is conflict of interest. But you noothiyas never admit when your beloved nawaj's ill doings are exposed. So that makes you noothiyas a experts in hypocrisy

. .
Abay oh paindu.... There were only two bidders and one of the bidders was disqualified on technical grounds by an independent consultant on 18th July 2018, even before the elections took place.

I wasn't aware of that either, if thats the case then its not conflict of interest

.
These stunted growth idiots are polluting this thread without thinking whats best for Pakistan, other than Descon Pakistani company, only other alternative apart from Chinese company is foreign companies, but the cost of the project will sky rocket,

Unfortunately from time to time the status quo goons have not built a single dam during thier terms.
They are also working on sukhi kinari or thakot dam too. On some part of it. I don't remember exactly which of those 2, but contact for them are awarded by pmln.

. . .
So this is what is known so far

1. Engineering Design was completed in April 2017
2. 28 companies had shown interest
3. 27th of April 2018, exPM Shahid Khaqan Abbassi had approved Rs309 Billion
4. 2 bids were submitted on 26th of June 2018, one a JV by FWO and a Chinese company and the second by another JV of Descon & Voith Hydro (30% combines share) and a Chinese company Gezhouba (70% share).
5. The JV of FWO was rejected by Wapda during technical evaluation on the same day 26th of June 2018
6. That left the JV of Descon which was approved yesterday.

Note: Elections happened on the 25th of July, Govt took over in Aug. Another thing to note, disqualified Nawaz had rejected FWO offer for construction of the Dam back in May of 2017 when he was still PM.

Conclusion

So everything happened prior to PTI govt coming in. Descon was the only bid left after JV of FWO had lost the bid. PTI had no say in the creation, approval or acceptance of the project or the bids. Initially i too thought that this was conflict of interest, but after doing thorough research i have come to the conclusion that its coincidental and not conflict of interest, but on the larger scheme of things Razzak Dawood should resign from his advisory role.

@The Accountant @PakSword @Horus @Syed1. So it seems everyone knew that Descon will get the deal and all of this is just another attempt to malign PTI.

Shame on our media ...

And shame on Faisal Vavda who made such a simple matter so controversial ... This could have been handled easily earlier with patience ...

My trust and respect for IK is ever increasing ... He is a gem of a person and a blessing for us from Allah ...

@Champion_Usmani I hope this is a proper investigation that the project was won before even PTI winning the election so this was not conflict of interest and in no case IK or his advisor could have influence the decision ... At that time it was not even known that Razzaq Dawwod will be advisor to IK or IK will win the election ...

.
this project too will be politicized like KB , i fear

let this nation die of thirst. good for them

Initially I also commented in favor of rebidding.. but when I found out later that it is not a case of conflict of interest, but just political point scoring, i stopped following this thread..

There is a reason I don't follow champion's threads and comments.. they are too politically motivated.. based on random tweets etc.. he can't think from his brain (don't know whether he has one inside his head)..

Now they are asking for re-tendering.. just because two bidders were there and one selected.. They don't know that it took almost a year to complete the previous process and the project was open to all the companies. When they didn't sent their proposals first time, why bother giving them a second chance and waste another year?

Pakistan is fast moving towards drought periods and we need to build dams fast.. I don't care if opposition does dharna on social media or not.. I want this dam and other water reservoirs to be completed in the next five years so that people won't suffer..

To hell with nooni social media teams..

.
Thats when he was in Musharaf's govt.
No doubt his company gets major govt deals/projects, only, when he is part of the govt.

So no conflict of interest.

musharraf also started CPEC

should we stop cheering CPEC now too ?

Dont get your hopes high much mate, especially this guy, he will continue spreading propaganda and being a hypocrite

.
If, right then a clear case of conflict of interest...Like Nawaz , Razzak have upward trajectory when he is in Government...In interim government 1 bidder was rejected on technical basis and "wapda as quickly as possible"awarded this to the other party..Why not rebidding to have at-least 2 or 3 or 4 bidding ? Looks razak dawood sahb na "Jaib time pa garam ki the"...The same way these crooked and leeches rob the farmers and built there fertilizer business..
Hopefully in next mini budget we will see "reduce import duties" on "Raw material" pertaining to "Chemical business"this way he will make sure his another sector got an upward trajectory..
If he is clear then he should resign ethically
