It happened last september to a Dash 8 from Lux Air in Saarbruecken in germany. Now the report was published and i can´t stop laughing. Thanks god nobody was hurt...

The plane was accelerating and almost had take off speed when the female co-pilot made a fatal mistake and rose the landing gear. You can hear her saying "ooops sorry" on the flight recorder. A second later you hear a massive bump and a tailstrike warning. Then the entire craft smashed back on the strip. The propellers also hit into the runway. The airplane came to a halt several hundred meters later...its trash and can´t be repaired.

The co-pilot is not allowed to fly anymore. She works at ground crew now. Guess she alsways has some laughs on her side. :D

Dayumm!! Makes it harder for females everywhere. Never mind we take progress where we can find it

We cannot discriminate against women pilots. It was the problem with runway, it should have been a cliff. By the way were there any potholes on the runaway which led to the decision:D.

plane looks ok , isnt it? its only the undercarriage thats gone for a toss.

This used to happen a lot back in the old days, and I mean, old, wwii and earlier, some aircraft cockpits and controls were more confusing and unergonomic back then.

The flap control is located right next to the undercarriage leaver, and apparently there ought to be some sort of button that engages hydraulic control before you can use the lever, but I can't see it. :-)

Unfortunatelly no. The airplane was a complete write off. It lost its entire under fuselage. The material was scratched away and the fuselage was structural damaged

There's no weight sensor on the wheels? Seems like an easy way to screw up a plane sitting on the tarmac.
