It’s getting bad reviews because of homophobes and the people that can’t handle Joel’s death. What they can’t accept is that Joel was not a good guy. Yes the father-daughter relationship between Joel and Ellie was beautiful, but he f’ed humanity and then lied to Ellie about it. From humanity’s perspective Joel was an evil selfish SOB.

THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. You cannot fault the customer for not liking a garbage product, you corporate shill. There was close to zero chance of a vaccine actually being developed, which is why Joel saved Ellie in the first place. The incompetent Firefly morons had no idea what they were doing nor did they have the facilities to develop and mass produce the vaccine. Ellie wasn't the only immune carrier, there were others and the Firefly's fvcked that up too.

Joel was a good natured guy, who did what he had to do to survive as anyone else would. He deserved better and you're in the minority of people who have so little taste they actually like the game.

In a post apocalyptic world with humanity in extreme survival mode. the world will be least fussed about homosexuality!

Joel was the anti-hero hero of the game and the character arch made the first game which got the people pumped for the part 2.
