There are clear verses in Quarn and ahadiths that demands apostates to be killed.

I agree 100000% on what you said on Dalits but my GOV. gives them reservations which will help them get better in eco- social level...we can not return them the days their ancestors lost in constant fear but we are trying and if you still think that situation in India on Dalits is same then i can not say anything more... but situation is improving and by god's will it will be one day when we will say we are all equal .

But what you gov. do for lower sub sects of people in islam.? NOW don't deny that islam does not have problems similar to caste system in india?

It's a common misconception amongst illiterate Muslims that apostates should be killed. The hadith which they rely upon (read: heard from a wahabi mullah) is a rule of martial laws, not of belief or disbelief. Death penalty is for those who commit high treason ( referred in this hadith to those jews who would become Muslim, then apostate, then Muslim again etc, to create unrest and undermine the emerging islamic state and society in the time of the prophet).

Moreover, how can any reasonable Muslim say it's oke for a christian to become Muslim, but for a Muslim not to become christian? It not only contradicts Islam (freedom of religion, and conscience), but also lacks any logic!
