Famous lawyer Asma jahangir died

If respect was earned with media campaign than Zardari would have been most respected person of Pakistan. If his admirer will try to paint her like Mother Tresa than others will also show her devil side. She's dead and chapter is closed, so closed the thread as well.

For me Pakistani is who has Pakistani green passport.
Rather it ought to be only Pakistanis should get Pakistani green passports.

Many Pakistanis do not have a passport so therefore you would consider them non Pakistani?

#ThankYouAsmaJahangir

Thank you. And RIP to Asma.
Only in some jingoistic minds in this forum a person of Asma Jahangir's stature is not a good person. Otherwise, look at the Pakistani political landscape: From Imran Khan to Zardari to Nawaz Sharif to the President of Pakistan to the Army Chief to the Mullahs to the average Lahori---people mostly respect her despite differences with her.

RIP. Your name will live forever in the world history.

That is just another way of putting the words together.

Pakistani living inside Pakistan have CNIC and living outside have Pakistani Passport.

Those who surrender Pakistani passport for another countries passport loose the right to be called Pakistani.

Dont expect others to understand your issues and problems. Different mouths will have different opinions.

Take case of being a muslim, you will be labelled a non-muslim instantly if you don't agree with certain sect or sects. People or Pakistanis living outside Pakistan face their own share of problems, some face it in a more arduous manner than others. You cannot go on explaining yourself and your issues to everyone you meet and then expect them to understand. Only you yourself know the conditions of life that you are facing and then make the best decision for yourself, which maybe a compromise due to many factors.

Its what you are in your heart, a passport is just a document for travelling. No one can look inside your heart and appearances can be deceiving.

Which sect allows this type of jinaza in which men and women stand side by side? It is a mockery of Islamic principles.

@Psychic

IIRC, Ms Fatima Jinnah and Ms Dina Wadia (Jinnah sahib's daughter married to a Parsi) attended our beloved Qaids funeral.

Besides, the lead imam at Ms Jahangir's funeral was Haider Maudoodi, you know whose son Imam sahib is, dont you?

Regards

So every Pakistani in Pakistan has a CNIC? Really?
Even every Briton in the UK does not have British ID documents, be it Passport or even driving license (although the license does not mean one has British Citizenship).

Come now. Do not base identity solely on fancy pieces of paper. If you do this then half the anti-Pakistan Afghan nation are Pakistanis then...

Now those Pakistanis who give up their Pakistani passports are no longer Citizens of Pakistan but still can be Pakistani (although I do not know if Pakistani Overseas ID cards would suffice for you?).

What about those Pakistanis by blood who never had Pakistani passports in the first place?

Jus sanguinis is a better than jus soli.

Fiqah-e-Desi-Liberals. They have there own fiqah; and unlike other fiqah that look towards Quran, Hadis, Sunnat, Sahaba, Qiyas or Ijma as source of principles; this special fiqah is not limited by any of these. Instead they depend of strange analogies, their gut feelings, likes/dislikes, wishes, and statements like: "Who are you to consider yourself an authority on Islam?", "Its between me & god", "Who are you to judge me?", "I don't need a Mullah to interpret Islam for me" and "I don't care what Islam prescribes; but I know that..."

A Pakistani can get CNIC whenever he/she wants.

The process for issuing CNIC is improving and millions of Afghans have been removed.
