Erdogan says Greek islands ‘used to be ours’

Many wellfare states in EU have a hard time in justifying a increase in defense budget, the biggest problem is the aging population which causes an increase in social wellfare spendings and decreasing working population paying those services.

Only solution is ''fresh blood'' in population which wont happen anytime soon as long as the mentality and way of life in Europe doesnt change.
This cant go on forever, at one point the critical line will probably be crossed, in fact im not very optimistic about my future, im already expecting my pension age being lifted to 70-75 which means working till i die, flm. :(
The millions of Turks in EU should really go back to Turkey at some point. The EU is a sinking boat not worth staying in for too long before going down the drain together slowly, but surely, with some (many?) of the EU states in the long-term. Besides, with extremist rightists on the rise, you never know what European leaders could do with minorities in difficult times. I'm not joking about genocides, but for example closing mosques, ending Diyanet connections, adopting aggressive assimilation policies etc. Plus, times have changed, imo it doesn't suit us to just morally support Turkey from a distance instead of contributing to Turkey's growth and development with deeds in Turkey.

With unemployement rate in Turkey at 10.7 allready, and growing it,s hard for them to fathom a life in there.

We (Turks) didn't destroyed a single Church in Anatolia. We didn't destroyed a single building which belongs to ancient Romans.

How many Mosques destroyed in Balkans by Eastern Europeans ?

How can you dare to say that. Turks have destroyed MANY churches and also converted MANY others into mosques.

More detail for people interested on that matter here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_in_Turkey

Destroyed? Most churches in this list have been either abandoned after the decline of Christian population or damaged by natural disasters.

Many have been converted to Mosques indeed though.

"Decline" I guess that s the word in Turkey for ethnic cleansing and genocide

The Christian population in Ottoman Empire declined over centuries, there was also population exchange with Greece.

You asserted "We (Turks) didn't destroyed a single Church in Anatolia" and that is obviously totally wrong PERIOD. Many churches have been destroyed (with or without a mosque rebuilt on its top) as listed on the wiki page. And this wiki list is focused on former big churches not the hundreds of smaller ones. I'll be curious to access data for the smaller churches.

As a French I have never heard what happened to mosques in eastern Europe when Turks withdrew from that area. But if you tell me that many have been destroyed I'll have no difficulty to believe you.

I havent said anything like this, apart from that the statement that not a single church was destroyed is obviously wrong but on the other hand claiming Turks have destroyed many churches is also wrong too, as said most have been abandoned or destroyed by fires and earthquakes.
One of the reasons why so many churches have been turned into mosques is because that churches are a place for worshipping a prophet thats also recognized by Islam, so instead of destroying them they have been turned into mosques, sure it might be disrespectful for Christians but keep in mind that we are talking about events happened centuries ago.

I did not know Fox News inscenated the destruction of the Buddha Statues in Afghanistan or the mass destruction of churches in iraq and syria done by islamist militia

What does this have to do with Greek Islands?

These islamist militia (so called Islamic) created by whom
أبومصعب الزرقاوي, Abou Moussab ez-Zarqaoui and friends

where they are getting weapons from?
Mainly AK-47 from Russia because you know this is a very common efficient and inexpensive gun that you can find almost everywhere on earth.

Any other questions ?

These islands don't belong to Turkey because Turks couldn;t defend them from Greeks... its too late now, UN will not allow it... forget it... and forgive your ancestors for losing to Greeks...

Pakistan.

Last time i checked it was Romania and i am still wondering you don't know anything about your country and pointing on others.

Yes I won't deny that the US (and others) played a dangerous game with islamic groups because they used them against Russia especially during the Russian-Afghan war.

But do you really think that those islamic groups are only poor innocent victims ? Clearly not for me.

Even if at some point they have been part of a big chess game between Russia and the US they are grown men not kids. They make their own choices and are responsible for they actions.
