Erdogan says Greek islands ‘used to be ours’

Luckily the Trumpmeister win is giving Europe rhe perfect momentum for higher defence spending.
If Russia couldn't gave you the momentum....i doubt that Trump will.....

That is the difference between you and us my friend. We are not allowed to destroy any religion buildings. It is forbidden in Islam
Well, some of the Orthodox believes that they will conquer Constantinople and drive us back to Mongolia. :-)

They might get Ayasofya....before we destroy it. :D

Many wellfare states in EU have a hard time in justifying a increase in defense budget, the biggest problem is the aging population which causes an increase in social wellfare spendings and decreasing working population paying those services.

Only solution is ''fresh blood'' in population which wont happen anytime soon as long as the mentality and way of life in Europe doesnt change.
This cant go on forever, at one point the critical line will probably be crossed, in fact im not very optimistic about my future, im already expecting my pension age being lifted to 70-75 which means working till i die, flm. :(

We (Turks) didn't destroyed a single Church in Anatolia. We didn't destroyed a single building which belongs to ancient Romans.

How many Mosques destroyed in Balkans by Eastern Europeans ?

You don't have any influence in Syria, US and Russia does. Your still living in 1945s. Your influence these days over countries is very small. You do have bases but that is it.

Nope, Syria has never ever been part of our sphere of influence, and same with the U.S who never had any influence in Syria(even today we and they don't have much, apart from giving some limited support to rebel groups fighting dictator Assad).it was a former French colony, and then ruled by a tyrant dynasty the Assad familly since it's independence from France to this day. it's only after the civil war, that we somehow reluctantly got involved, Syria has never been crucial for us anyway, never cared much about the country(it doesn't have much to offer anyway) and has been Russian/Soviet ally. Our focus has been on Gulf and other the middle eastern countries .

Who told you we don't have influence in the countries we have military bases? You think a country/power will come out of nowhere and establish a military base/presence in a foreign country without exerting any influence whatsoever there? Lool Good one. If that was the case then even Spain or Turkey will have a base in Russia.

Just a small example. just because we don't go around shouting/singing praises doesn't means you should think otherwise. :D

He is clearly comparing today's UK with the "the empire on which the sun never sets".

Many. So,what of it? The CHurches in Anatolia where there before the Turks, the mosques in the Balkans were buildings of the invaders.
Anyway, nice of you to let tge Churches stand while genociding and ethnic cleansing their Christian followers.

Lol, you sound like ISIS lunatics....you can justify anything that you want with this logic.

Bottom part, we didn't destroyed Christians holy places, Christians did.

I never said you don't have influence where you have bases. I said that it's no way near as much as you claim. Bringing down and changing regimes /governments or similar is what I'm talking about. Today the only two powers which has considerable influence is many countries is USA and Russia. I would say France has more influence than UK because it holds a tighter grasp around its former colonies, but again in the world stage we always see two countries mainly. I will explain what I mean later on fully.

Who cares? It's all in the past. Today, we need to look at the future. Crimes have been committed in the past true. But we should all move on. :enjoy:

By your logic the Christians themselves were invaders of Anatolia, before them it was the Greeks, Anatolia belongs to Turks for a millenia, what was before is irrelevant, drop the self-righteous attitude and deal with it.

Wrong. They converted into Christianity,it wasn't brought by force by an invader. There is no attitude, these are just facts.

. .
Yeah all people converted peacefully to Christinaity, the old testament was so peaceful after all, you call those facts? We know how distorted your facts can be sometimes.
No,you imagine you know.Yes,most did, more peacefully than another religion anyway. As for the Old Testament, that's why Jesus came.If people would read a little instead of throwing the same rants things would be easier.
Anyway, the point stands:Churches in Anatolia existed long before the Turks came while in the Balkans they were built on conquered lands and the natives destroyed them when they took back their lands, probably seeing them as a sign of opression.Nothing wrong in that really.
