Do you want to see another military takeover in Pakistan?

We have India firing at our western border, continuously and more viciously since the marches started. If internal situation gets worse, PA should file in the Supreme Court to intervene. If SC doesn't, then PA will have no choice to take control. We can't afford to have Noora and Diesel goonies leading the country to the brink of civil war.

NO! the army's job is to protect our borders and take care of our defense. We will take care of our politics and we will decide who will rule us who will not. Why do we wish for the army to come in and remove the democratic party. If given a choice between a martial law removal and this dharna removal of govt then 10/10 i will chose this dharna removal of govt as atleast it will be in the hands of the people.

What if there's bloodshed on constitutional avenue and civil unrest erupts in other cities? You still won't want Army to intervene? Army is responsible for both external and internal security as per constitution, if you didn't know that.

If there's any bloodshed it squarely falls on IK and TuQ. And by the looks of how things are going they want some dead bodies to keep their political future going on especially IK.

Allah Na karay if something like this happens then the army will be used to quell the situation, Not kick the govt out like in every normal country. Army is responsible for the defense of civilians and the govt, not removing govts. They will come, they will control the situation, They will take care of the defense and they will go back to their barracks.

Anyway what kind of civil unrest is pakistan going to face currently. the scenario looks extremely far fetched and unrealistic. I am well aware of it and in case of civil unrest or malicious attempts of a group the army can take control of the area however once again two points.

1. Army would take control of the security. No where in the constitution does it say the govt will be removed and then re-elections will be held.
2. Secondly this scenario is beyond unrealistic and if any bloodshed happens it will be squarely in the area of islamabad whose security under article 245 is already under military control and they have made ample staements saying they will defend the city against any violent attempts.

So no. I wont support a COUP.

I really want the Army to take the reins of the country one last time to do a clean up. Hang Nawaz and Shabaz. Bring every single corrupt politician, judge, official to justice. Then hold a clean election. I'll be fine with anyone forming a government from among the clean people.

What's more important than saving the country

off course and you can save the country without getting into politics :) People should not accept authoritarian and military rule as a normal or legitimate political system. Its stupid to assume that military people will solve all your problems if democratic Government cannot. The military rulers either abolish the constitution or suspend it to acquire supreme legislative and administrative powers. This disrupt the development of civilian institutions and processes and made it impossible for them to develop strong roots in the polity.

Democracy in Pakistan faced a host of difficulties which did not let the democratic principles, institutions and processes develop firm roots in the polity. Pakistan started with the parliamentary system of governance but the legacy of institutional imbalance and authoritarianism, problems encountered in the setting up of the new state, the external security pressures and the fear of the collapse of the state adversely affected the prospects of democracy.

We should try to improve our political system to work effectively instead of escaping and going for military rule. Most Pakistani political parties lack resources and trained human-power to undertake dispassionate and scientific study of the socio-political and economic problems. The emphasis is on rhetoric and sloganeering which may be useful for mobilization purposes but it cannot be a substitute to serious, scientific and analytical study of the societal problems. The level of debate in the two houses of the parliament and provincial assemblies is low and these elected bodies often face the shortage of quorum which shows the non seriousness of the political parties and their members in the elected houses in dealing with the national issues and problems. Quite often the ministers and parliamentary secretaries are not available in the house to respond to the issues raised by the members.

Why Indians are taking part in this polls and voting for military rule?

.
^^^ coz military rule seems to be advantage to us... dictators lack credibility in the world hence run after us.. they are the most pliant lot... they also dont need to go back to masses so kind of single window clearance for everything we need...

.
And also Pakistan's present constitution isnt working. Its made by halfwits. So the Army can come and initiate the process of formation of new constitution.

Because they are easy to deal with and take bold descisons while democratic gov of Pakistan is always weak..

Why the "Quom" had to be "is jaisi" at the first place to make the equation more and more suitable for a military takeover?
