Well that is not possible becasue our traders are always facing trading tarrifs from Europe and other nations, and our farmers have to sell the food and other items below international prices so we end up losing revenue.

Also becasue the G8 nations throw all their junk cars into Pakistan and these cars use tones of gasoline and petrol , all the funds are going out of pakistan on petrol and getting these old gas guzzlers

Also , any energy initiatives are being blocked on higher levels as companies who have interest with petrolium are forcing gov to not invest in Solar and Wind alternatives...

Not to mention the water hording.

There are always road blocks when we try to develop our industry
a) Motor
b) Electricity infrastructure
c) Trade with neighbouring countries


And for all our loses we are given 1-3 odd f16 to calm us down


Not to mention our engineers , doctors and other resources are getting paid less % in middle east vs other similarly educated people reducing our revenues by 10-15 billion just from overseas workers.

Food is being smuggled out to Middle east by traders to create false priceing in local markets -

Also the international wars are being waged on our neighbourhoods as we don't want none of this

Its hard to think roti kapda makan , when we have no automotive industry in pakistan that could create 100,000-200,000 jobs in engineering

We can create an other 400,000 jobs in sales of local vehicles /maintenence etc

With the Highspeed railway projects we could create 200,000-300,000 jobs and shut down the obsolete Railway system from 1930 ... with high speed railway systems.

These railways can be used to transport good even to China

If our workers are paid properly overseas , we can also generate 20-30 % more revenue from expatriats

We have water -
We have makan -

The problem has always been job creation - what to do with people graduating vs people who have no education - how to differentiate between the two and how the ones that do well in school to get rewarded ?

I am sure you have Pak's best interest in mind but seriously your points border on jingoism...This might be the ultimate goal for Pak,but you also need a short term strategy to overcome the terrorism and poverty.Why not have a construction spree in FATA .this will give Jobs to locals and they will resist taliban.
having Satellites is a good thing but you can use them not only for military but for broadcasting education lectures to inaccessible areas.


And dont you think the numbers of plane you have stated is too high?

I mean for 20 million a piece for JF-17,50 million for J-10 and 70 million for Rafale this would come close to 14 billion USD...that is a big amount..If you are willing to spread it out from 2015 to 2035 then it would be a good thing i guess...

But THE REAL LIST OF PAKISTAN DEFENCE IS TO PROMOTE LOWER-MIDDLE CLASS and provide gud equipment to Police first and second (MAKE AND DEFINE PROPER POLICY (IN FAVOUR OF OWN COUNTRY). These F16s Submarines Rafale blaa blaa never ever provide you a proper defence when ur people dying (Drone attacks) people dying from (suscide attacks) when people dying for (Food and basic requirment of human). SO BETTTER TO SPEND MONEY ON PEOPLE RATHER THN THESE MILITARY EQUIPMENTS!!!!

Dear All:

If I amy suggest that before going off and ticking away on the lists of what we want and what we can get, it would be wiser if we discuss the threat scenario that our armed forces can face from our eastern, northern (in the light of requipment, resurgance, reorganization of Afghan Forces), and yes our western neighbour (Yes! Iran has been acting pretty weired despite our clear NO to US in Zia-ul-Haq, and Mushi times to use of Pak soil for subversion in Iran -- we even gave a negative to KSA on this issue in the past!) and COIN operations.

Once we have the inputs from all, we can than build up a clear picture on what to expect from whom, when and where. This would give us a fair idea on what would be the composition of agressor force(s) and what would be the min. detterent to deal with the threat.

Right now we can have 30 C-130's and have no real need to para drop a brigade sized elment behind enemy lines!!! Looking at PAK geography - and the deployment of troops, there is no real need of Heavy Lift capability as almost all the forces are deployed near their operational areas (This has been the strength of PA -- time to deploy is extemly short).

However, if went into fighting a two front war we would certainly need ot marshall our forces and plug gaps!

If we end up fighting a war in the monutains of our north and north west we would need light field howitzers and yes heavy lift capability.

What we need is a discussion on threat assement and than we can all hacve our wish lists. My 2C worth. I hope I am not treading on any toes!
