What's new

Dhaka seeks more data on river flow, Delhi says no on ‘security grounds’

China is buildig multiple dams on brahmaputra. No point India BD fighting :)

The news says ''sources'' said this ''sources'' said that. There's nothing official in the report. Certainly enough for idiots to abuse Hindus though, apparently.

Hey did you ask water flow data from China over Brahmaputra River. :cheesy:

Indians and their obsession with China. But this obsessive trend is very predictable, and nowadays China's somehow part of every Indo-BD discussion, courtesy of Indians. lol.

Anyways, quiz for our Indian friends:

Question: How does water flowing through China enter BD? Choose one from:

a) Indian rivers
b) underground channels
c) gigantic cloud

Don't look at the answer before you choose one of the options above.

Answer: it's a) Indian rivers! That's also where the water ends its journey! :)

Now you guys want us to negotiate for India? Idiots.

You lack of general intelligence aside, as a co-riparian state BD has every right to ask China as, if no water enters India, no water enters BD.

In any case the report is not reliable, it just quotes ''unnamed sources'' where the indian refusal part comes. For everything else it quotes sources. Looks like typical BD reporting where they mix some facts and lots of fiction for their jamaati fanboys.

@idune 2006 news, What is Bangladesh's current response on the news of 3 dams on Brahmaputra.

At least now you will understand how it is felt to be bullied lol.....

If Brahmaputra water does not enter Indian territory because of Chinese dams, what do you suggest we send in the rivers to BD ? Darjeeling chai ?

i am not bringing china into it....but you please show me how building a dam is going to damage the interests of bangladeshi's
the exapmle of china was to show you that these things work like this...even India wasn't informed about the 3 new dams China is building on the river brahmaputra
here is the link

The difference is our NE is not dependent on Brahmaputra water as much as BD is dependent on it. Our NE is gets one of the highest rainfall and there are plenty of mountain streams that originate in our territory to take care of our needs. It is BD that needs to worry about Chinese dams, not us. We can happily use every last drop of water and send you an empty river bed, ofcourse with all love and regards.

Bangladeshis get what they deserve.if they has no problem with Chinese dams on Brahmaputra, they should not have problem with ours..jus like china, "We will use it for peaceful purpose and for current generation, not for water diversion"..don't like that??shift your country elsewhere..(now they will feel what Indian felt about Chinese dams)..

by the way,India is a signatory state of "Law of Non-Navigational Uses of International Watercourses"..so,no way indian dam will affect Bangladesh..

India would have damned us with Tipaimukhi Dam any way. We survived the Farakka dam we will some how manage with the new dams also. But now the question is, can the under developed NE india survive with out Bramaputra river?

you do know rivers are not for cultivation only, it has huge impact on ecology.

Fact that india refusing to provide river flow data on "security" excuse exposes the fact india planning to use the dam as weapon of aggression against Bangladesh.

Rofl..India can deny Data related to Indian Armed force,or the layout of any sensitive installation on the basis of national security.does that mean we'll use it against Bangladesh??

.
the question is,Bangladesh can???
and Farrakka didn't destroy bangladesh, did it??

Thanks to farrakka communication with Khulna division got easier and now people can cultivate rice on river bed. Due to increase of salinity on coastal district we are now able to cultivate shrimp there and earn foreign currency. I am sure in near future we can built a industrial zone in sunderban as trees dieing because of salinity.

Fact: India invited us to join in this project.
Fact 2: we are denied any information about the project.
Fact 3: This is very suspicious and alarming for our national security.

this very Fact 1 point should clear your doubt.if the project belongs to both country, how India would use it against you??seems very illogical, right???

and for Fact 3,Chinese dams(that they are building for god knows why purpose, and they don't want to share info about it) are alarming for our national security, but BD seems to happy with those dams.then why you guys are so unhappy when India want to develop same project bilaterally??where are your brains dude???
