What's new

Delusional Indians and Abhinandans Humiliation.

ya where he said he shot down f-16 and ISI deleted that scene?
Or you could ask your IAF to have abhi interview with any indian news channel where he can share his experience like that pathological liar ground controller lady?
Arre but release his full interview without cuts. You have it, no?

On the day of his release all Indian Channels and media were awaiting his interview/press conference. I will give Abhinandan the credit of being a gentleman, he kept his mouth shut uptill today(as he had nothing to boast about).
From what I understand, there has to be a debriefing first.

I don't think that now Indians would ever call her, on any public forum, to discuss Feb 26/27.

i know... they all hung to her like flies when she claim ISI tried to rape her...

Not sure why is every fanboy on this forum so hell bent on ridiculing W/C Abhinandan,it's quite condescending to be honest. The guy's behaviour during his captivity was professional and even after his release he has never made any silly claims.

He is a dishonorable officer.

The first thing you are taught in the academy is not to lie, cheat or steal.

He has supported his state with lies and accepted a medal for a false claim of shooting down an aircraft. So many other Indian officers deserve that medal more than him. How will he wear that medal in a ceremony amongst his colleagues is beyond me.

His conduct was civil because he knew he will be going home soon. Else in a full-blown war, he would have been tortured till he spits his intestines out and gives us information. We did not torture him for obvious reasons. Pakistan is a signatory of Geneva convention anyway.

He was a flight commander of 51 sqn. What he knew would have been gold.

Geneva Convention could have been waived away. War was never declared and he could've been executed as a spy. He's very fortunate to be handed back, Pak government was very lenient in this stance.

Has Abhi accepted this medal officially or is pathological lair Indian government making a claim on papers? Maybe they wanted to present him the medal in media but then he refused and GOI decided to just give to him anyways on papers without his consent.

I agree. He has not done anything that we know of that would include lying, cheating or stealing. We don't even know the exact reason for his medal as nothing has been made public except some vague statements from Bullshit Dhona.

What we do know is that he has not made any public comments or written about what happened during Feb 27 that goes against the Pakistani narrative, or in converse, supports the Indian one. That alone garners him respect from me, regardless of the particulars of his getting shot down. Lets not forget, PAF lost some very capable pilots in its wars against IAF as well.

Furthermore, if you are awarded the highest medal for bravery, as a serving officer, can you actually turn it down, especially without repercussions and the safety of ones family? Putting that in Indian context with ultra right-wing Hindus in power, I think he has behaved very professionally and as a gentleman.

It's not condescending, its against military ethics to parade a pow. I dont recall in the previous wars India or Pakistan doing this , and everyone knows India has had quite a few Pakistani pows in its custody. I criticize Indian behaviour because I want to see a better India but in this case the Pakistani behavior was dishonorable. It reminded me of the Pakistani hockey players behavior after their win. India has been overwhelmingly defeating Pakistan in cricket and hockey in the last couple of decades, but the players were always very professional.
The narrative in Pakistan needs to change, it unfortunately fuels reactions in India too and makes mature behavior rarer.

I agree it's more a dishonourable behaviour.
Also I don't think it's practical for a serving officer to decline a medal for participating in a skirmish. Also I disagree with Airomerix's view that he has supported his state, how do you expect him to behave when he is still in uniform.

To qualify as a POW, there should be a declaration of war. Perpetrators of sneak preemptive attacks do not qualify as POW. Stop spewing BS.
