If Pakistan block Indian goods for 3 months... you will see them come begging.

Let's stop beating around the bush. Pakistan should point out to Afghan stooges in Kabul about following UNSC resolutions. Pakistan asked Afghanistan to round up ISIS terrorists and hand over them for justice but Afghanistan continuously violating UN resolution and facilitating ISIS killing Pakistanis. Pakistan as a responsible UN member now responding to UNSC call and acting against ISIS in Afghanistan. Case closed.

A little story to set proper expectations for every one. Remember, it's a story passed down through generations, it might not be true. BUT, it sheds a lot of light on the mystery that is Afghanistan.

It is said that when Alexandar the Great's general faced stiff opposition in Afghanistan and no gains were made for a long time, he sent a messenger demanding an explanation. As response, the general took some sand from Afghanistan and asked the messenger to spread it in Alexandar's court. The messenger returned, and as soon as the sand was thrown in his court, everyone started fighting amongst themselves. Then the messenger relayed the message: "We are faced with an unfathomable situation here. The Afghans are divided in factions, and everyone is fighting everyone else. They are fighting against us, they are fighting with us, and they are fighting amongst themselves. It is impossible to get a grasp on this situation. There is something in the very soil here that creates disharmony and discord."

And in this context, sit back and think about the achievements of Pakistan Army in North Waziristan. Common people don't realize this, but the reaction from UK to US and around the world to Pak Army's achievements has been a mixture of stunned respect and disbelief. People are literally speechless at what has been achieved.

And our winning formula is very simple. We don't just fight them, we work with them AND fight them, AND help them fight themselves. This is the formula within Pakistan. Within Afghanistan, our winning formula is simply described with two words: Afghan Taliban. Many Pakistani brothers don't realize this and slag off everyone under the umbrella term of 'Taliban'. We have to be very careful to maintain good relations with our major asset, because that happens to be the only winning formula in the long term. Other than this, there are millions of poor common Afghans who deserve our sincerest sympathies being our Muslim brethren, and having faced much strife over decades and even after all this they continue to act as a buffer for us against the Northern Alliance.

Hopefully this will clarify a lot for everyone's benefit.

But, I'm not one of them to be surprised for the best of the folks in these lands moved little eastward to build empires after empires for centuries after centuries, and became a part of the melting pot. And, Pak folks are decedents of them, so no surprises for me!!!!

Sir, you also know that if Pakistan withdraws support to Taliban, they will disappear and with ISIS creeping into Taliban, in my opinion, Pakistan will not support the elements that will be identified along ISIS. The best way for Taliban to survive is to give up bullet and resort to ballet. They have potential to regroup pashtuns and win an election. But it will be very difficult as they are not democratic by their outlook and believe in autocracy.
Russia will not get into Afghanistan directly. I dont think they need so much opium nor they have Bashar and oilfields and their foothold in West Asia to protect. America does not have any idological difference with Russia and Trump seems to be inclined to unite all the whites. USA, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikstan and India are not in favor of Talibans taking over power in Afghanistan. Only perhaps China and Pakistan would like a regime in Afghanistan that will be totally under their control. With passage of time and as the developments happen in Afghanistan under democracy, the talibans will make themselves redundant.

Can we complain to the UN about this?

These were smugglers posing as refugees/migrants/merchants. They were attempting to deliver much needed weapons and supplies to dried up terrorists groups in Pakistan as all weapon factories and infrastructure were blown to ash in Zarb e Azb. These smugglers can pay less than 5 dollars to bribe Afghan officials and find a way in. We need to keep border shut till Afghanistan sorts its shit out. Our security is at stake.
