In the old days, during the Japanese Empire -- the goal was to create the Greater East Asian Co Prosperity Sphere -- with Japan as the Supreme Master of Asia. Nazi Germany was to take All of Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan were to meet in Indian Subcontinent.

But , @Lux de Veritas , this was an ideology of a bygone era. Japan is not an Empire anymore. We are now a Liberal Democratic Japan. So there is no need to fear of any Imperialist ambitions from Japan in the present or future. Japan is for peace, stability , growth.

USA treated you guys well. Japan and Korea will be like Greece in Pax Americana, and you wont have future. USA and Germany will not treat Greece well like what they treat western Europe.

The only hope for Greece is go back Othodox Russia.

Wars always went out of control.

To review the begininng of the war is not to ignore the brutality of the war and the condemation of war criminals. We human beings bear the basic idea of Justice and humanity.

But not like Japan.

Germans industrialized killing -- wiping out almost all of Europe's Jewry. Did we conduct a war to exterminate anyone? No. Japanese designs in China was not to exterminate the Chinese people, on the contrary, Japan wanted to conquer China. Much like the Mongols and Manchurians before us. It's a quasi-ally of Japan in providing strategic resourses for imperial Japan for their war needs in China and the rest of Asia. I don't believe those sharp analysts of US intel lost insight of what was happening and what would happen.

The anglo saxons always play big games. They've done it well in East Asia, so have they in South Asia and Mid-East.

People need to rethink their hatred before know the truth. History you learnt might be biased and washed.

The reality of accomplishing the 'goal' was always suspect. In other words, the Japanese Empire had overstretched itself. Having been at war already for 14 years prior, and having its 6 million man strong navy, army, air force spread throughout Asia - Pacific was a logistical, and strategic burden.

And being at war with almost all of its neighbors. Did not help. Long story short -- that was the past. We should not deal with the past so much.
