So how can a North Indian Hindu claim that his religion or way of life is flexible and changes with time? How can this act of not valuing his life not be called an act of extremism? I understand very well. Adil is not a hindu but I am so i can answer authentically.
In extreme scenario when nothing is available to drink... people drink their own urine or blood to survive. There are instances of cannibalism to survive the hunger... I think you don't want to discuss such extreme scenarios when the brain stops functioning. Its very difficult to predict human behavior in extreme circumstances so its immaterial what a human will do in such a situation.

Gorkha's also worship Kali and the bull sacrifice and blood offering to kali has been outlawed in Hinduism ever since the time of the Shankaracharya. More than 2000 years ago.

Their current blood lust of the gorkhas are a more recent phenomena and has more to do with their long association with the british.

Hindu's never used to eat beef. At best they made a bull offering during a yagna and at part of that offering and gave it to the guests. But it is and was forbidden to eat it outside the yagna and those who ate meat regularly was called Rakshasha.
