Closure of Pak-Afghan Chaman border enters into sixth day

CHAMAN: Situation at Pak-Afghan Chaman border remain tense as the closure of the border crossing reached to its sixth consecutive day.

Afghan citizens had pelted stones at Bab-e-Dosti on 18th August in the presence of Afghan forces after which Pakistan border forces had sealed the border crossing as a sign of protest.

Anti-Pakistani and pro-Indian slogans were also raised by the Afghan nationals at the time of the incident.

The border forces of Pakistan and Afghanistan held two flag meetings to decide the issue but did not reach to any agreement. The meetings were held on the request of Afghanistan.

The supplies to NATO forces in war-ravaged Afghanistan and bilateral trade activities have been suspended following the closure of the border crossing.

The long queues of NATO containers along with cargo trucks were witnessed on both sides of the border.

The common people has nothing to do with the strategic politics being played between Afghanistan and Pakistan. So they should not be made sufferers due to it. There should be a open border as it has always been.

open border means cross border infiltration easy movement of smuggled goods
Afghans needs to understand being a landlocked country they simply cannot bully Pakistan their food supply medical treatment is dependent on Pakistan. The border need to be closed as long as Afghans do not learn their lesson

So that's what you are interested in? A lot of people along the border are from same families and Pakistan make more from trade then Afghanistan. Economically they cannot keep the border closed. It may not effect you, but it effect other Pakistanis too.

Pakistan is themselves responsible for current view of them among some Afghans. It's the failure of Pakistan foreign policy..

Poor relations with India, Poor relations with Iran, Poor relation with Iran.

May Allah(swt) keep it closed we don't need no more terrorist entering our country.

Pakistan is not just in a position to point fingers at others when it comes to terrorism. It's world famous for terrorism.
World most famous terrorist lived next to one of your military base. The Americans took him out without your army noticing them.

Agreed with you that borders should be open .While the rest of your argument regarding Foreign Policy failure has nothing to do with it. What a foreign policy can do when someone (Afghanistan and India) does not accept the existence from very first day.

He was an Saudi Arab guy.

It's a little bit funny how the big guns terrorist are found in Pakistan. Don't need to refer to the Taliban top leadership as well. Mullah Omar, his successor Mullah Mansoor. It's a fact Pakistan army uses these guys for their foreign policy.

Then don't burn our flag and attack our border gates.

It is very simple you know.
