Why would Afghanistan support the creation of Pakistan in 47? Look at it objectively. Some Part of that area belonged to Afghanistan annexed by British India. So when Brits were leaving we of course wanted our part back just as India got their country Back. We were a muslim country, so religion was not a problem either.

Pakistan needs to look after our own interests and only be open to nations who it is in our interest to be open to such as China and Turkey

It's a little bit funny how the big guns terrorist are found in Pakistan. Don't need to refer to the Taliban top leadership as well. Mullah Omar, his successor Mullah Mansoor. It's a fact Pakistan army uses these guys for their foreign policy.

Every regional power uses proxies. Whats new in that? Name me one country who has a substancial influence in world politics and doesnt indulge into the shady business of supporting proxies and insurgencies? Pakistan being a regional power uses them for her own benefit just like all powers do. Afghanistan would have done the same to us if we were as weak as you.

So that's what you are interested in? A lot of people along the border are from same families and Pakistan make more from trade then Afghanistan. Economically they cannot keep the border closed. It may not effect you, but it effect other Pakistanis too.

No we are doing fine. We dont need Afghanistan for anything. Our economy is growing fast and is regarded as the next big thing by alot of western analysts. You are the one getting affected because you are dependant on Pakistan for everything from Cement to steel to a simple packet of cooking oil.
