Then show me a single racist post in this thread.
Hardly 'racist'. Or are you broadening the definition of 'racism' to suit your hurt feelings?
How have I acted 'this way'? Have I mocked his death? Have I insulted his ethnic origin the way the Chinese members are quick to do?
Right...So the intention of this thread is to express condolences and soldierly comradeship among all nations......Please spare US who have served...Learn to read, I didn't even mention the word "racism" once in this entire thread.
You are the one who is getting excited, and talking about naked guys, in a thread about a DEAD American soldier. And as if that is not enough, you then say you're going to "open both barrels on this thread".
In fact, only myself and one other British member gave condolences on the first page of this thread.
I think any American soldier would be ashamed to read this thread and see that only a Chinese and a British poster were able to show respect here to a dead American soldier, while their "fellow American" was joyously talking about naked people and "opening both barrels" on this thread...

Of course. Nothing wrong with that. Unlike you Chinese, I do not see everyone and everything through a racial prism. This was a tragic loss and am sorry that the Marine felt ostracized by his fellow Marines but what from we have seen so far and based on my own experience, what was dealt out do not qualify as 'horrendous torture' as the hyperbole goes.Do you want to give condolences to the dead American soldier now, after 5 pages?
The unit was in Nawa district in the Helmand province. We all know that Helmand is a Taliban stronghold. Despite the Corps' best efforts, not all Marines are model Marines, not all Marines are best fighters. Sad to speculate this way about a soldier, especially about a Marine, but his unit may not have any choice but to assign him guard duty IF he was found incompetent at other assignments.I wonder if he was continuously sleeping on the guard duty then why was he assigned the same duty again and again.. If he was not able to do the job then he should have been put on other one.. At least that would have saved a life..
The two other Marine lance corporals allegedly became angry when they found Lew asleep while assigned to stand guard on the night of April 2.
A sergeant told the lance corporals that "peers should correct peers," according to an investigative report obtained by the newspaper.
The two lance corporals then ordered Lew to do pushups, crunches and other exercises, according to the report. One of the Marines stomped on Lew's leg and another kicked dirt on him. Both allegedly berated him for sloppy performance.

Don't worry though, I would never insult the brave Indian soldiers who get cut to pieces by Maoists every day, and I would never say that they lack mental strength, or that they somehow lack courage.
If pushups, crunches, assorted PT movements, may be some physical contacts no different than a good day playing football, and some dirt thrown qualify as 'torture' to you, all I can say to the PLA is: Bring'em on, we will send Air Force mechanics to take over China. So you are denying that this American soldier was tortured by his superiors to the point of suicide.
Post this over at wordaffairsboard or airliners.net or f16.net and you will laughed off the Internet. In fact, what this marine went through was worse than some of the people the Red Guards persecuted
To all the idiot's speculating PTSD can strike from a previous traumatic incident that occurred maybe months ago, the harsh behavior at the end may have sent him over the edge.
Typical another example of american barbarians. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It looks like their people are becoming criminalised like their govt
